“Down-Tilted” (Small excerpt in alt text) #art #TheDichromaticPages #traditionalart

(Simisola)
“Oh I got this shirt at a thrift store years ago. I use to watch this show a lot with my father when I was much younger, even though I don’t care much for video games…

I didn’t really think the show was funny or anything, it was just a show about these college kids trying to make it big playing video games.

Not too long ago I got a call that my father was in the hospital, and without a second thought I rushed out the house… still wearing this shirt.

It was the last thing he ever saw me wear, and the last time he ever saw me. He looked at me with a smile but I don’t necessarily know what it meant. Maybe he was just happy to see me one last time.
…. I don’t really know if I like the show anymore or less.”

I never really explained what #TheDichromaticPages is, if I’m being honest. Simply put, it’s just a bunch of story and comic strip ideas I wrote involving these characters. Some long, some short. A lot of it however, I’m just adapting into artwork now.

Keenan is slightly angry about a SC Johnson commercial.

He’s thinking:
“I don’t care about SC Johnson. I wanna watch SpongeBob.”

Keenan, a dog like kid, is holding a cutting board while swinging it like a sword. While he’s thinking about it as the Buster Sword from Final Fantasy 7.

In the second drawing he’s slouching while pointing to his skull saying
“Can I have my skin back?” While there’s a scythe who’s holding is not visible of the paper.
