It is being reported on the ground in Cuba that everyone on a ventilator at this hospital died overnight. As a Cuban, I'm devastated.

Red carpet for Putin, tarmac for everybody else. Decent indication of where America lies at the moment. What a world we live in.

Really struggling to remember if I have ever seen us win a penalty shootout. I can't think of any time. Should have won today. By far the better team. #wba

I've not shared any thoughts on Bartley's retirement from #wba but, my word, there has been some incredible ignorance or forgetfulness from large parts of our online support. He should have been out of the club years ago. Good luck to him in his retirement...but, thankfully, we move on.

I've got 2 weeks off work and I'm currently looking at posts about walking 100,000 steps in a day and thinking about giving it a go. I think I've gone mad.

Watched One Day In Southport tonight and it left me feeling so angry. Farage, Tommy Robinson, Andrew Tate and the youtube wannabes and impersonators have so much to answer for. It utterly pains me that their actions, and the actions from those that follow them, took away from what really mattered.

Spend all day tired and all night awake. Not the best way of being.

Decided to open up Twitter for some football news and got greeted by a naked Conor McGregor picking up weights with his todger. What on Earth happened over there?

If Johnston does go to Brazil, will he be the first player we've sold to a Brazilian club? #wba

Getting a bit fed up of waking up every morning feeling like death, purely because I have a window open. Hayfever is absolutely killing me this year.

So saddened by the news about Jota. I can't stop thinking about his wife and their young children. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Bob Vylan. Punk rock. I've seen them live. They were amazing. Their albums are great. The BBC only needed to do 2 mins of research to know what would happen. Long live Bob Vylan.

Posted about this the other day, but, as the comments don't seem to be stopping...this is what happens if you dare to say anything against Tommy Robinson on an @lbc.co.uk Facebook post, apparently. But... I'd still buy that caller a pint.

Commented on a post put up by LBC earlier, where a caller (Alan) said that if Tommy Robinson was in his restaurant, he wouldn't be eating his food...he'd be wearing it. I said I'd like to buy Alan a pint. Just come on my break and seen a fair few notifications. Seems I've upset the Tommy fans.

This month I will be completing 60 Miles For Tommy's, raising money for Tommy's in memory of our little boy, Alfie. I will be completing a mix of walking and running...and doing as much as I can with the kids, who also want to walk for Alfie.

Kind of get the feeling that some are trying to paint the potential Ryan Mason appointment as an Alan Irvine moment. The board clearly want him, majority of fans seemingly don't and believe it lacks ambition. But does it lack ambition? Young, bright, loads of connections and potential. #wba

Looked on Twitter for an update about the incident in Liverpool. That place is a cesspit. It almost feels like there is now a disappointment that the person arrested isn't Asian. Some of the "journalism" is appalling, too. Whole thing is horrific. I hope the people are ok.

In June, I'll be walking/running 60 miles with my 6 year old daughter raising money for Tommy's, in memory of my son, Imogen's bro, Alfie, who passed after being born at 20 weeks in 2023. If you can support please do. They are an amazing charity. Thank you www.justgiving.com/page/adam-to...

Seems quiet on anything to do with Albion. Would imagine if there is any truth to the Mason link, we'll find out more now that the Europa League is done.

I know Amorim has this stubborn stance on style that he wants to play but at what point do United give up on it? Obviously, I'm an outsider looking at it...but he seems to have been a disastrous appointment so far, even with all the outside factors.

I've tried my best to stay off politics on Facebook- you inevitably get bots etc repllying to you, let alone the idiots - but the Reform council seats posts are unavoidable. Beyond obvious that people have no idea what they're voting for (again), and have no idea what a council actually does.

If Arsenal don't win this, then either Spurs or Man United go on to win the Europa League...who has had the better season?

Anxieties like I've never felt before. Emotions I've never felt before. Following losing Alfie, I didn't know if we'd ever have another child. Nearly 18 months has passed...that pain remains and always will...but beyond happy to welcome this little man in to the world.

"Not that kind of Brexit..." "Not that kind of deal..." It's almost as if they don't actually know what they were voting for. Almost.

Adam Townsend @adamtownsend.bsky.social · 29/04/2025

Question for fellow #wba fans...what did you expect from us at the start of the season? I remember speaking to a lad at work and saying I felt we'd finish lower mid-table. A year of transition, leading to a year of rebuild. The posts I see from others seem to suggest many thought we'd go up?

300

Adam Townsend @adamtownsend.bsky.social · 29/04/2025

Local elections soon. On the Facebook group for my local area, I've seen posts from Labour candidates and the Reform one. The Labour candidates leave comments on and reply to all questions. The Reform guy posts (often shocking stories and headlines) and disables comments. I wonder why...

Caught up with the news regarding the #Kneecap performance at Coachella and Sharon Osbourne saying they need their US Visas rescinded...not very surprising from her. What does surprise me, though, is that Kneecap are also not on here but continue to use an Elon Musk run Twitter. Move off it, lads.

Whoever comes in now...they've got a massive job. We need a clear out. Too many of this squad, all the usual names, down tools too easily and give up when the going gets tough. They hide, and they've done it over and over again. Carrying a lot of dead weight. #wba

Adam Townsend @adamtownsend.bsky.social · 18/04/2025

At the start of this season, I thought we'd finish mid-table, potentially the lower end of mid-table. This season was all about financial stability, to me. The play-offs would have been a bonus. We are where you'd expect, when you look at the team. Corberan made us over achieve. #wba

020

Adam Townsend @adamtownsend.bsky.social · 08/04/2025

Social media is essentially all the people that would call radio phone ins with opinions that make you shake your head, but to such a scale that it makes it feel like the common opinion. It's highlighted to me that several of the #wba fan base is toxic. It pains me to say it, but it's true.

110

Adam Townsend @adamtownsend.bsky.social · 08/04/2025

People quick to criticise Mowbray but suspensions and injuries have been totally against him since he came back. Molumby now adding to the list. And, with him, just not surprising. #wba

000

Adam Townsend @adamtownsend.bsky.social · 05/04/2025

Kind of says it all. 21 shots, 3 on target...not good enough. Desperately need Dike, Maja and Armstrong at full match fitness...and also need the midfield contributing with goals. We won't get anywhere by having 3x as many shots as the opposition, but never hitting the target. #wba
