Ever notice in adventure/fantasy films once the quest is over they usually cut back to their homeland immediately for the triumphant return. I want to see them have to do the entire quest home, only in reverse. Now, things like the rope bridge they cut to stop the bad guys is a new challenge.

At the halfway point of LANTERNS finale. So far, so boring. It’s devoid of almost anything resembling Green Lantern. Just a hyped up crime drama with an occasional alien or actual superhero action scene. A nihilistic shadow of two excellent characters squandered by grief baiting and dull writing.

JUST LIKE ANYONE by SOUL ASYLUM is, I think, about a woman using an outhouse in the dead of night only to contemplate her place in the world. Only to leave the outhouse not really caring. I now like that so all the more for the sheer symbolism of expelling our needles worry like waste.

Still watching #LANTERNS for some reason. Every character on the show is still an asshole. Like, everyone is a caustic, unheroic, unlikable dick. Everything, down a simple conversation, turns into a sarcastic argument. Who are we supposed to root for in this mess?
