Finally got my copy of Blades '68 today. Excited about the Cold Opens and Ticking Timebombs. Hoping the Trouble Engine will make the non-score parts of the game easier. Not sure if I'll be able to talk my group into letting me run it yet, but *man*, @olddog.games makes a pretty looking game.

Trying to replace Spotify; aside from paying the artists terribly, I can no longer reliably ask for music and expect to avoid AI songs. So I sign up for Tidal. But it turns out they don't do podcasts. I'm now like nine websites deep on trying to find something that my Alexa will tolerate.

I haven’t had a DVD player or PC disc drive installed for a number of years now, so the Sony thing doesn’t affect what I buy for myself. But I buy nieces and nephews games for birthdays and Christmas several times a year. That is SO much easier to do with a physical copy.

Man, I super do not like how every time there's a wave of layoffs in the industry some folks out there rush to cheer the idea of AAA games crashing and burning.

my entire life I felt a gradual sense of progress & change but I never felt like I was in ‘the future’, but post like 2020 I 100% do feel like that like a major news story right now is the company that thinks it’s product is sentient refusing to turn it into a killbot, that’s Future News

My group seems burned out on crime games for right now, but man, this looks *so* stylish and original. Plus Blades itself produced some great gaming memories (urchin in the cake; swapping out the elephant twice). This was an instant back for me. www.backerkit.com/c/projects/e...

I have come to the realization that I experience sports the way normal people experience the MCU. You know-- got the basics when I was a kid; seems a little silly now; the events are still OK if samey; I don't know who all the new people are and there's too much homework you're expected to know.

Hey RPG folks! I'm trying to decide on my 2026 campaign. I'm hoping to find something whose character options strongly prescribe player-driven arcs like Masks or Chuubo's (late era MotW seems to be edging into this territory). Recommend games to me?

A movie that takes place where you’re from. Or as close as it gets, here in the northern suburbs of Detroit.
Poster for the movie “It Follows”; two young people make out in the back of a gold 1975 Plymouth Fury. It is spotlighted from above and some bounce light exposes nearby foliage— wild, but not dense growth. Darkness pools ominously on all sides.

What is the state of the art for live-streaming movies with a group? Watch Party? Teleparty? W2G? Twitch? Youtube? Hypothetically, if I wanted to end my Halloween movie marathon streaming a shared viewing of the Exorcist, at midnight on Halloween, what would be the best way to do that?
