NCIS: Origins' midseason finale finished up its Gibbs flashbacks tonight, but there were some teases for the new villain and what will happen with Gibbs and Lala's relationship. Co-showrunner David J. North shed a little more light on those for me:

‘There Is Someone Still Out There’: NCIS: Origins’ EP Opened Up To Us About The New Season 1 Villain, What’s Next For Gibbs And Lala’s Complicated Relationship

The prequel series hit its midseason point.

The NCIS Season 22 midseason finale aired tonight, and I got deets from showrunner Steven D. Binder about what's head for Seamus Dever's Deputy Director Gabriel LaRoche, who's giving off some major sketchy vibes:

What is this guy's deal?

Tonight's episode of NCIS: Origins was especially eventful, and I got to talk with co-showrunner David J. North about how what went down will affect Leroy Jethro Gibbs' relationships with Lala Dominguez and Mike Franks going forward:

'Nothing Was Random’: NCIS: Origins EP Told Us What Latest Gibbs Twist Means For Relationships With Lala And Franks, Confirms It's Not Over Yet

This was quite the shakeup.

Earlier today, I watched the #SupermanAndLois series finale and did something I've never done with a TV show before: I cried. For me, that's a big deal, but that ending was so perfect and emotional. This is now officially my favorite Superman adaptation; stellar from beginning to end.

Superman and Lois Lane talking to each other in downtown Smallville, which is cluttered with debris and wreckage from the Doomsday fight, including a crashed helicopter.

Name a show you’re positive no one remembers but you.

New Amsterdam (the 2008 version) cast members, from left to right: Stephen Henderson, Zuleikha Robinson, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Alexie Gilmore.

Started The Night Agent. Been a long time since I've watched an espionage action thriller, but so far I'm digging the 24-like vibes.

Peter and Rose from The Night Agent in a forest, looking at something offscreen while they're laying stomach first on the ground. Peter is holding a pair of binocular, Rose has a dark green backpack.

I refuse to join Bluesky - I don't want to become part of a Necco chamber

A small tube of Necco Wafers next to several unpackaged Necco Wafers.

Perhaps the most hilariously cathartic thing to happen in 2024.

Bluesky right now feels a little like all the Whos gathering to sing after the Grinch stole their floofloovers and jingtinglers.

Just finished It's What Inside. Weird and twisted, but in a good way. The twist legitimately took me by surprise... and made me even more pleased that body swapping is not a real life thing.

Stating the obvious here but if this report cleared Gaetz’s name, they’d eagerly release it in the name of “transparency”

I still use *the other place* as part of my job, but outside of sharing any scoops I write, I'm not posting on there anymore. Not that I'm a chatterbox on social media generally, but any personal thoughts I want to share will be going up here... sorry in advance 😄

There's just one day left to go until Loki returns, so if you weren't able to rewatch all of Season 1, I've got you covered on what to remember ahead of Season 2:

I don't know a ton about One Piece beyond what I read back in the day and scatterings here and there, but that's enough for me to have a specific concern if Netflix greenlights Season 2 of the live-action show (which I do want, to be clear):

Netflix's Live-Action One Piece Is Amazing, But I Have A Specific Concern If Season 2 Happens

How’s this issue going to be dealt with in a potential second season?

After seeing the first two Ahsoka episodes, a pretty out-there theory popped up in my head, so bear with me as I fall down this particular rabbit hole:

Hear Me Out: Ahsoka May Have Already Introduced Star Wars Rebels' Ezra Bridger In Its First Two Epis...

Did this possibility cross anyone else’s minds?

Adam Holmes @adamholmes.bsky.social · 23/08/2023

There is a Rebels scene recreated that I wish had looked more closely like the animated version, but that's just a nitpick. Side note, I'm worried that Ahsoka has Tron: Legacy'd Ezra with that Inquisitor.

Wise move to pair the first two Ahsoka episodes together. Chapter 1 starts things off slow, but the story kicks up a notch in Chapter 2. So far I'm impressed, especially how it doesn't lean too heavily on Rebels lore so the casual viewers aren't confused.

Going through a Doctor Who rewatch, and I like how 11 calls River Song "Mrs. Robinson" in The Impossible Astronaut, yet doesn't get the "Hello, Benjamin" reference in Let's Kill Hitler.

Pauley Perrette was one of NCIS' most important cast members for its first 15 seasons, and I wrote about why the Abby Sciuto actress left the hit CBS show back in 2018:

The Full Story Behind Why NCIS Star Pauley Perrette Left The CBS Show After 15 Seasons

There are a lot of details to go over.

Blue Beetle is the best live-action DC movie since The Batman. The villains are underwhelming, but Xolo Maridueña plays a great Jaime Reyes and the story excels at highlighting the importance of family. I can already envision how a trilogy would look.
