I mean, for fuck's sake, it took ages to get `.internal` and a few others reserved… so why on earth would you make the conscious decision to break things? I don't think this is unintentional.

The largest federal prison in the nation is Fort Dix, which has a rated capacity of 4,600 people. The largest of these warehouse camps may hold more than twice that number of people. The federal government hasn't operated a prison camp inside the United States that large since Japanese Internment.

Also Mandy was handed a *lifetime* seat in the legislature, which is in fact, Quite Tricky to fully remove (most constitutionalists agree it needs legislation to deprive one of that).

#Palantir supplying software to ICE. European governments should boycott and sanction Palantir, as with companies connected with human rights violations in any other country. Instead they hand Palantir control of all our most sensitive systems in security, intel, police and health care. Shame.

The German company that makes the mechanical ladder used in the Louvre heist has used the image to advertise, with the text 'When you need to move fast' 10/10 response, no notes

Image of the mechanical ladder outside the Louvre

Text below says WENN'S MAL WIEDER SCHNELL GEHEN MUSS (When you need to move fast)

Underneath is more German text which translates as "The Böcker Agilo transports your treasures weighing up to 400kg at 42m/min - quiet as a whisper."

"there are lots of sons of a queen who aren't a prince" etc. (a queen vs. the queen regnant, maybe). From memory, some of those in 1917 lost their princely titles. But yes, we could indeed cease referring to him as that. Or deprive him of them by legislation — chuck in Mone at the same time.

I've been playing around with Docker (Compose) recently. I still find it unfathomable how anyone uses YAML out of choice, especially when error messages are so unhelpful. You end up asking ChatGPT to tell you what's wrong (take your pick of spacing/indentation, : = quote-marks).

I used enterprise support to try and work out which setting needed changing… but they had no idea. On the plus side, whatever they did in the last few days means it's working again on my pixel 9.

… silencing them without picking up the phone/getting distracted by its interruptions is a game changer. It's weird how some features don't work for paying customers even with all the settings enabled. And how they can just break and no one knows why.

It's so lovely to be able to use quick voice commands again on the pixel (with a 'corp' account). For months its been broken, and no one in support has been able to help. Then a couple of days ago, boom. It's back working again. For someone who needs alarms to remind them about breaks/food…

Yes, I have taken a look at www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc9499.... and whilst that does help a little in nomenclature, it doesn't especially 'solve' the way some operators have bodged the DNS. I don't want to move my DNS to one of the megacorps who've built their own hacks (in the true sense)

or do the DNS folx not use things like CDNs / care enough about this issue? (ideally, we'd also solve DNSSec so that isn't broken with ALIAS RRs).

It feels like it's about 20 years since we've wanted to serve websites on the naked/apex domains (e.g. example.org) but it seems there's still not a standard way to define ALIAS/ANAME resource records in the DNS. Anyone know of anything that might make this more standard in the near future?
