Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 5hOh god, the redheaded one moves its head like it's in a Bethesda game. Feels like I'm stuck in Starfield. 030
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 8hIt isn't the first time he's meddled with Starlink in Ukraine so it's not shocking if true. 100
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 9hUpdate: The RAM I bought last year to the equivalent of 236 US dollars now costs 1708 dollars. Same model, same speeds, same store... 110
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 10hScrubbed through the Squadron 42 trailer on Steam and had a Leo pointing at the screen moment. 000
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 12hSort of a trick question as most smart devices barely have any compute at all and mostly call home to a data centre to do jack shit. As for most people’s home computers and laptops; the vast majority of the PCs worldwide lacks any sort of hardware to run modern AI no matter how much it splits. 000
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 13hQuestion: How many shitty Amazon Smart Microwaves, Google Nest pucks or mom’s ancient windows 10 laptops does it take to match just one of the data centres needed to run Claude? 100
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 21hI mean LOOK at the 360 version. It’s amazing. The water is pooring down the walls and the rain is truly soaking the level. Still looks so cool. 000
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 21hThe biggest downgrade in Gears of War Ultimate Edition/Reloaded is the rain… it’s pathetic compared to the 360 original. I have no clue how they took one of the greatest rain levels in gaming and turned it into… this? 120
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 13/10/2026Okay, the ambient occlusion is still too heavy around Geralt, but I can live with that if they can’t/won’t tune it. 000
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 13/10/2026Witcher 3 on the PS5 feels almost fixed now. After turning off the bloom it’s not nearly as washed out, even in the RT mode. The only real problem left are the autosave stutters, which are mitigated but not gone. 100

Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 13/10/2026The Witcher 3 Remastered photo mode can go… far. Way further than I thought. 000
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 13/10/2026Imagine having Fortnite money and still fuck things up this bad. The management at Epic (and Tim Sweeney) suck so hard. 021
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 12/10/2026I still think about Star Wars 1313 and how it could have been if it wasn't cancelled. Would love to see the concept of it explored. 000
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Last Gears of War spam, I promise. Just had to share a few screens from the game's early chapters before I lend it to a friend. It looks so good and moody during the first night in the campaign. (Quality Mode, Series X) 100
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 12/10/2026I know it's a completely psychotic thing to stare at but the blood effects in Gears of War 4 is probably the best in the series? It has this volume and effect where it looks like light is passing through it. It's a lovely detail added as the series went for PBR materials and shaders. 010
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 12/10/2026This week is Control Resonant week...! Long after everyone stopped talking about it and my friends have moved on to other things... 010
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Galactic Racer is fantastic and it's so cool how they use mechanics to create narrative intrigue. Rivals are fun, events are fun, racing is fun. It's easily one of the best games I've played so far this year if it keeps up like this to the end. 000
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 12/10/2026I love Biddy Blas in Galactic Racer. youtu.be/Hv8U7YcJHAA?...youtu.beBiddy BlasYouTube video by dislodge 100
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Thank you. Missed a few parts like the slightly too easy balancing towards the end and how it turns into a cooldown fest. Or how cool it is when quests and storylines bleed into each other in cool ways. One questline changed encounters for like three others and such. It's really tight in that way. 010
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 11/10/2026THEN IT'S NOT REALLY PUSHING 151 FPS IF IT'S USING FRAMEGEN, RIGHT?! I'M SO TIRED OF THESE ARTICLES IT FEELS LIKE I'M GOING CRAZY! 110
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 11/10/2026F-Zero and Burnout, the latter being some of my favorite racing games growing up. Played Burnout: Revenge for hours with my brother and I get the same vibes here. 000
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 11/10/2026The sense of speed in Galactic Racer is intense. It’s the most interesting racing game I’ve played in years and I’m having a blast. 100
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 11/10/2026The HDR in Gears of War Reloaded looks awesome as well. And on PS5 Pro it runs at 1440p PSSR to 4K in between 90-120Hz with VRR and it looks great. Man, Gears of War is awesome. Probably one of my favorite game series even if I don’t think about it as often anymore. 000
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Been jumping into older Gears games again, just visiting, and while I like the visuals of E-Day, I can’t deny that the image quality in Gears 4 and 5 is pristine. It’s sharp and not all that noise we are used to tiday. I get why things are what they are today, but I do miss the cleaner image. 030
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 10/10/2026So yeah, I had a blast with E-Day. It did what it wanted to do with a few flaws in an otherwise great game. It was really fun to enjoy it in co-op with a friend and I want to play it again in the future. Two thumbs up, at least regarding the campaign. I don’t really care about Horde or PVP. 000
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 10/10/2026thing I wasn’t as fond of during the larger area maps were the amount of collectibles. They announce themselves with a small sound kicking my OCD in the balls making me waste time looking for them. They are neat and give some extra details to the world but it’s still a bit much of it at times. -> 100
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 10/10/2026this urban semi-open area that we get to see get destroyed as the story goes on. We aren’t on this map all the time as there are focused linear chapters as well. It’s more for flavour and pacing, giving a bit more control to the player and additional ways to find these stories strewn about. One -> 100
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 10/10/2026original squad had in their dialogue, there are still fun characters and comments throughout. It focuses more on the horrors emerging with the Locust Horde. I enjoyed it as much even if it still felt predictable. The ”Open World” segments from Gears 5 has been paired down and adapted into -> 100
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 10/10/2026feels great. The added vertical movement and sleek animations make it feel modern even if it’s still Gears with its sticky cover system and chest-high walls. The plot is fairly simple, nothing I’d call game changing for the series, though it doesn’t go as much into the goofy stuff like -> 100
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Finished Gears of War: E-Day and I think it’s the best Gears I’ve played since 2 (never liked 3 that much) and it looks great. Visually it has some UE5-isms for sure, but the detail in the world and how the maps are constructed are phenomenal. It’s violent, grimey and the new movement system -> 100
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 10/10/2026And of course these rage-mongering shills use AI because they are all talentless hacks. 000
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I just wanted to see if I missed a post-credit scene in Gears: E-Day and the search results are full of these. What the fuck is wrong with these freaks? 130
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 10/10/2026The worst part with having small rodents as pets… they don’t live long and they might not even get to die of old age anyway. The worst are guinea pigs. They basically live to suddenly drop dead for any reason. 000
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 10/10/2026If they invent pet rats that could live for 10+ years I’d get one instantly. 110
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Been saying this for a while. Way more hyped for Star Wars game than any show or movies at the moment. 020
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I liked it a lot! Felt really fun to play with a really nice flow to the combat. 110
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Bluesky won’t do it justice but some scenes in Gears E-Day truly look stunning. Especially in HDR. 130
Adam Holmberg @adaell.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I like the obvious lie that Gears E-Day was never intended to release on Playstation at any time during the development. Like ”nooo, no. We just ported Gears 1 to PS5 just for fun! Nothing to it!” 010
