Bruger jeres elever AI? Hvordan?
Bruger I selv AI? Hvordan?
AI?
Hvad går godt? Hvad går dårligt?
Hvordan synes I fremtiden ser ud for vores uddannelsessystem?

Amazon Fresh kills “Just Walk Out” shopping tech
by Ron Amadeo

“Training is part of any AI project, but it sounds like Amazon wasn't making much progress, even after years of working on the project.
‘As of mid-2022, Just Walk Out required about 700 human reviews per 1,000 sales, far above an internal target of reducing the number of reviews to between 20 and 50 per 1,000 sales,’
the report said.”Recommendation #2
The Exploited Labor Behind Artificial Intelligence
by Adrienne Williams, Milagros Miceli and Timnit Gebru

“Data labeling jobs (...) are often outsourced to precarious workers in countries like India, Kenya, the Philippines or Mexico. Workers often do not speak English but are provided instructions in English, and face termination or banning from crowdwork platforms if they do not fully understand the rules.”Recommendation #3
Human touch
by Karishma Mehrotra

“Most women I spoke to were uninterested in talking about how their task fit into the wider digital supply chain.

(...) In most instances, they steered our winding conversations back to how they had escaped past lives involving restrictive in-laws, abusive husbands and hospital bills; how a monthly salary of 10,000-15,000 rupees meant the world to them.”

Bubble trouble
by Bryan McMahon

“The AI bubble wobbles more
precariously by the day. Some
bubbles, like that of the dot-com crash, end up being positive in the long run, despite the short-term economic pain of it bursting. But some, like the 2008 housing bubble, leave permanent scars on the economy and can knock an entire industry off its growth
trajectory for years.”Recommendation #2
How the AI bubble bursts

“After a year of opulent spending, the markets have begun to sour on big tech's $200 billion bet on generative AI, unfortunately timing with the delay of Nvidia's new AI-specialized "blackwell" chips. another implosion.”

Samsung
One UI 5.0 - 24 October 2022
Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices from October 2022, Samsung's One UI 5.0 provided support for both 2021's Emoji 14.0 and 2022's Emoji 15.0 recommendations.

Prior to the release of One UI 5.0, many Samsung users may have seen support for Emoji 14.0 emojis provided via Google's emoji design set. This was due to Google's expansion of Android AppCompat in 2021.

A select number of users also reported seeing Emoji 14.0 designs in Samsung's emoji font when updating to One UI 4.1.1 in September 2022.

Less a question, and more an imperative: take the limitations VERY seriously. OpenAI lists 7 limitations. You should expect to run into these very often. In my interpretation, they pretty much invalidate the entire demo.

Something else to ask is: will any normal person use it like this? So many of the prompts in the demo are incredibly complex. Who is going to know what to actually write? Also, it doesn't even seem to respect many parts of the prompt, so why even bother with complex prompts?

Probably the most important question: is this actually useful in the real world? Risographs have a certain sensation, when they are printed on a risograph printer. It's not about the look, it's about the feel. Pixels are not risographs.

“This is how the confusion era of in transitu started, and it continued in July 2023, where I was covered by the Dutch RTL Nieuws, which featured in transitu in a short video segment and online article. Two days later, I logged into Instagram only to discover that four of my photos had been marked as ‘sensitive content’.

There is no way to appeal this decision, so the images are still blurred to this day. This time, it seemed like the press coverage had led to an increased level of censorship.”“In late 2023, in transitu was shown at the group exhibition Young Danish Photography at Fotografisk Center in Copenhagen. The next step in the censorship journey was when one of the Instagram posts advertising the show was removed because of my nipples.

At this point, my nipples were starting to affect more than just my own profile. They impacted my fellow artists at the exhibition, as well as the people working at Fotografisk Center.”“At time of writing, it has been 10 weeks since any post has been censored by Instagram.

This coincides with Zuck's announcement of policy changes at Meta. While the new rules generally set a path for Meta to make things worse for LGBTQ+ people, Mark also talks about wanting to "reduce mistakes".

Paradoxically, while the new policies are inarguably anti-trans, they might also mean that my content goes under the radar.”“My nipples have been censored, moderated, glitched and ignored for more than 3 years now, and I'm not sure if I will ever succeed in getting them removed for good.

This process has taught me so much about Meta, Instagram, social media and content moderation, and I have shared that knowledge as best I can.”

“Since late 2021, I have been documenting my transition on Instagram in my online performative photo project
in transitu.

More than 3 years later, my breasts are somehow still allowed on the platform, so I want to take a moment to recap what has happened so far.

This is the story of more than 300 trans nipples, and how they have been censored, moderated, glitched and ignored.”“On the 26th of November in transitu received its first media coverage in Danish newspaper Politiken. The story led to an increased Danish following on Instagram, as well as some transphobic comments on Facebook.

One month later, the Danish youth media site TV2 Echo featured the project in a video, which once again led to more followers and angry comments. Not much more really happened.”“In January 2023, Meta’s own Oversight Board made a splash by overturning a decision to remove two Instagram posts depicting trans and non-binary people with bare chests.

Many, many news sites were quick to jump on this as a sign that Meta would finally free the nipple. But there was a detail missing from the reporting: the two posts never featured any nipples, and were never removed for featuring nudity.

More than 2 years later, the nipple rule has still not been removed.”“On March 30th 2023, a couple of months after the Oversight Board debacle, nipple photo #70 was removed from Instagram. It finally happened. I was censored on the day before Trans Day of Visibility.

But the post was put back within a week without me doing anything. I mean, I did do something, just not the thing that usually gets your content back on Instagram. On April 4th, I was in Danish national radio to talk about in transitu. The very next day, my post was once again available on Instagram.”

Kilde: TLDR News EU
En oversigt over værnepligt i EU.

Mark Zuckerberg is a pig.

Mark Zuckerberg is a rat.

Mark Zuckerberg is a cockroach.

Mark Zuckerberg is a tapeworm.

To clarify, I like all of those creatures. I find them fascinating, and they occupy important roles in our society and ecosystem. I would never say that about Mark Zuckerberg.

“All of this possible confusion and distress really makes you question why it's even necessary to have a gender listed on your passport.

Supposedly, it is an extra level of security, because it makes it possible for border personnel to check whether your passport matches your gender.

But that only works if it's always possible to guess someone's gender by looking at them,
which it isn't.”“What's funny about full body scanners is that some of them feature a ‘sex button’.

The security personnel will press the blue button, if someone they perceive to be a man enters the machine, and the pink button for women.

It needs to account for the presence of a penis or boobs. I wish I was kidding.”“Trans people generally have less freedom of movement than cis people.

Many countries do not legally recognize trans people. A lot of countries straight up criminalize LGBT+-people's existence. Others just have a bad track record of being safe for us.

For trans people in these countries, seeking asylum somewhere else might be necessary. Border technology in its current state does not make that process easy.”

“Trans actress Hunter Schafer recently shared a video on TikTok to talk about how her new passport now listed her gender as male.

This is the result of the Trump administration's horrifyingly transphobic executive order, which orders the US government to no longer legally recognize trans, non-binary and intersex people.

This is stupid as fuck for many reasons, but it's a good opportunity to talk about how gender is technologically enforced when travelling.”“For someone like Hunter Schafer, who on all accounts presents as female, having an M marker, might cause confusion.

She might be questioned, detained or risk being barred entry into a country on the basis of having a wrong identity document.

Hunter might also have to endure highly invasive inspections to prove that it is indeed her own document, but that her government has messed up by giving her this utterly confusing booklet.”“The X gender marker, on the other hand, is fascinating on multiple accounts. Firstly, I quite like that the ISO standard defines the X marker as meaning ‘Other’.

It's not non-binary, intersex or some other sex/gender descriptor outside of the binary. It is simply ‘Other’.

There is something so very glitch feminism about this.”“if you have an X on your passport, you might experience a similar amount of confusion from airport authorities.

The marker is quite new, and it is possible that border crossing personnel have not had training in how to handle it.

One other thing to consider before getting an X marker is that it literally others you.

In some countries, they might not allow entry to someone, who falls outside of the gender binary.”
