@littlemavis.bsky.social this morning thought of you when the Wegdewoods and Darwins were mentioned.

Oh look it's me and some pals fighting the evils of capitalism in an alt universe where they manifest as demons! 😳 One of the suggestions in the book is that a community of radicals could be a church... Now there's a thought. 🤔😉😁

Coming up on the May 4th join us at Brum Unitarians for our Sunday gathering will be co-led by Rev. Andy Pakula - the minister once barred from delivering Radio 4’s “Thought For The Day” for being an atheist. He’ll be sharing a provocative message titled “Love Your Enemy?"

Pink text on a yellow background with orange heart says "Love Your Enemy...?"

For any #birmingham people looking for some inclusive community this morning, this is today! (And I am somewhat madly about to drive two hours to be there - sometimes it’s necessary in order to be in a room of people with varied worldviews singing Lean On Me)

I'm at a point professionally where I'd like to know that the people and organisations who want to benefit from my expertise and experience really value my time properly. Because what I'm actually experiencing is a substanital amount of mixed messaging and assumptions about my level of finance.

Brum friends and followers! We're launching a new series of gatherings for Sundays, Unitarians have a long history of humanistic gatherings where sharing stories, wisdom and community support is at the heart of what we do together. 💗 Share this with your networks! 💡

Everyone should be aware of the line that has been crossed in the Trump trans military EO. No longer is this about "evidence," "science" or "protecting kids." Now, explicitly, black and white, it's about trans people being "liars," "dishonorable," "false." It's a big step towards very bad things.

Fun to binge BBC Sounds podcast series The Cipher today, @georgetakei.bsky.social making a guest appearance was a nice surprise. The theme overall being saving humanity from an impending disaster created by meddling rich guys with boffins working for them... feels like 90 of my feed!

About the latest SA allegations regarding the author NG and his ex-wife AP. Every time stuff like this comes up it's a lot. Excuse me if I'm not jumping in to give my thoughts I don't want to read those articles, it's a boundary for me right now.

Got a notification I'd been tagged. Just before midnight Christmas Eve, thought a friend might have tagged me in a work thing or a Christmas post. Nope it was this wet blanket which tells me he's been looking at my account.

Ah my ex has made it here and I know because he's blocked my wife, this is clearly preventative blocking because the guy is a creep so he's just ensuring he can't repeat his awful behaviours, I'm guess I'm grateful but now I need to find a way to block him. 👀

If you're wondering what this Unitarian thing is that I have in my bio... I can expand on it... I probably will but I shall infrequently only talk about it because my main tenet is live your faith by doing the things.

So I just bought the ingredients to make this again. It's half a dozen eggs & 1 400g (ish) tub of cottage cheese blended and seasoned (salt, pepper, smoked paprika, chilli powder, dried herbs etc). A dozen frozen potato waffles, and toppings of spring onion, roasted peppers and red Leicester cheese.
