One PE firm owns Pyrex, Corelle, CorningWare, Instant Pot, Anchor Hocking, and Oneida. The pastel Instagram pans lose their nonstick between cooking cycle 30 and 60. A pan measured in months, priced like it's forever. Who owns your kitchen, and what's still worth buying 👇 tinyurl.com/2s3xc53m

Your Cookware Got Worse On Purpose
One buyout firm quietly collected Pyrex, Corelle, Instant Pot, and Oneida. Farberware is a name on a 200-year lease. And the pans still worth buying.

Here’s my radical position: Just be normal about shit. That’s it. Be normal, and opt out of the deranged belief that the only way to take something seriously is to take it to the most extreme possible conclusion. www.joanwestenberg.com/p/just-be-no...

While also being a great postmortem of one of the initial vectors for Shai-Hulud 2.0, this is a brilliant account of the challenges of working with CI/CD tools in open source while keeping them secure from @posthog.com posthog.com/blog/nov-24-... This level of transparency is wonderful to see 💖

I finished Big Rock City from Magic Puzzle Company with original art by Annika Brandow. I loved the art of this puzzle, and it makes use of some fantastic shapes for the pieces. A highlight in this collection for sure 👌

Just finished reading Parable of the Talents by Octavia E. Butler. Just wow. This feels like required reading in 2025—a premonition of our current political situation and possible future environment due to climate change.

I attended an introduction to 3D printing at the Austin Public Library last night. It was fantastic and a very gentle introduction with a focus on 3D modeling in tinkercad.com. They are printing our creations—bat decorations for halloween—and I'll be able to pick mine up soon!
