10 year Anni of my last big crash today too. Top marks to the Metropolitan Police on the day who delivered my bike to my work before my ambulance had even left the scene 😁 #Strava #cycling #crash #london #bikelife #10yearslater

The Greens are offering a different kind of politics – one that offers a sense of solidarity, camaraderie, and agency in an age of individualism. Contests like this don’t just give us hope. They make us feel we’re part of something bigger than ourselves. graceblakeley.substack.com/p/the-ground...

The Ground Game is Back

In an era of fractured politics and collapsing trust, grassroots organising offers the left a path to victory.

This was a commission for a pet portrait I painted a few years ago. The dog is called Betty. She's beautiful!

Starting something long overdue today. Putting my words out there. A word of warning, while mostly they will be on love and general observations, rarely they will deal with abuse, for which I make no apology nor will entertainany conversation. @imowproject.bsky.social #writing #expression #honesty

Careful little night walk getting those steps for sleep in. To be fair, this one probably burnt more calories through shivering than it did through movement. #Stava #Garmin #Garminuk #Exercise #Active #Health

Thanks to Brexit the closest sub £250 SRAM XG1199 cassette to me is in Germany and will cost £350+ after import. So I got a £44 Shenruifa (Amazon) which is actually a Zitto which is good. It's +200g but it shifts perfectly, backpedals without down shifting and should last through the Winter.

Venus imaged mid-morning today, when only 5.2% illuminated. The narrowest crescent I've ever captured of this world. I was imaging the Sun and thought I'd try Venus which was only about 18° away. I tried for Saturn too, but that was asking too much! #astrophotography

The thin crescent Venus, only 18° away from the Sun in Broad daylight, a first for me

Costa Rica has massively rewilded over recent decades. Has this led to the collapse of farming, rural society, or national wellbeing? Totally the opposite, and we in Ireland have SO much to learn from their example. My piece for the @irishexaminer.bsky.social www.irishexaminer.com/lifestyle/ou...

Solstice Sun showing some minor sun spots through a telescope with a solar filter and colour corrected/adjusted. (The sun is actually pure white not yellow or amber.)

Tech data and notes for the accompanying image/s.

In the beginning…. Where to begin? Yes a little Athiest humour 😏 to kick things off with that much agonised first post.
I shall return to this shot over time and try different processing approaches as there is much more data than is visable in this edit. But this was a first attempt and I’m still quite pleased by it.
