I was dropping off a book at the Brooklyn Public Library and they were having a read in for banned books. Here are 3 that I loved growing up. #books #bkpubliclibrary #bkpl #brooklyn #readbannedbooks #bannedbooks #inthenightkitchen #thegiver #tokillamockingbird
A photo of a sign that says national library week books unbanned read-in, in front of the sign a handholds the book in the night kitchen by Maurice Sendack. The cover has a kid in an Airplane flying over New York City.assign says : “censorship is a threat to democracy. A vocal minority is restricting access to books and ideas. Public libraries stand for the right to read a long enduring American value.” in front of the sign a hand holds the book “ to kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. The cover has a tree on it.A sign reads: books unbanned; get a free library card. Ages 13 to 21? No matter where in the US you live you can get a free library card to access our entire digital collection no questions asked. There is a QR code to scan below the statement.A sign reads: “censorship is a threat to democracy. A vocal minority is restricting access to books and ideas. Book #8 of the Year was an Agatha Christie Mystery. It had all the twists and turns of a standard Christie Mystery but the comic relief of costumes and fake identities, made it a super cozy read. 10/10 #book #vacationread #mysterynovel #agathachristie #cozymysterybooks #booksky
A photo of a hand holding Agatha Christie‘s book titled “Why didn’t they ask Evans?” behind the book is a fireplace with a fire going and a table with a candle on it. The book cover features a young man and woman, dressed in 1930s clothing looking off into the distance.

Book #8 “Miranda in Retrograde” The main character is a TypeA astronomer who is challenged by her best friend to try living by horoscopes for 1 year. I liked the questions that were posed about what we allow to define us in our pursuit of happiness #books #mirandainretrograde #bookreview #booksky
The Book “Miranda in Retrograde” by Lauren Layne is held up by a hand in front of a floral blue and red wallpaper. The cover features a woman with a telescope sitting on a roof, looking over at a man painting her from another roof. The Manhattan skyline is in the distance.

My first day in Amsterdam I stumbled through the gates of Beginhof. It has been a home to Single Women since 1346. The Beguines were a group of Charity workers overseen by a Nun but not part of a convent. They made wool, lace & cared for the sick up until 1970s #amsterdam #beginhof #womenshistory
