For some reason I am getting a lot of video essays about the topic of gender not existing in minecraft? Fellas. And I do mean Fellas. Gender exists in minecraft—it's just a mono-gender. The game treats the masculine gender as the default.

Loud noises really upset me. I spent like 35 years trying to teach myself not to feel this way and the closest I got was "being extremely upset but not showing it very much." You know what did finally work? A $40 pair of headphones. Masking made me quieter. Accomodations make me functional.

Worldbuilding is maybe *the* defining qualities of SFF, though it is by no means limited to those genres. Some writers sketch worlds to contain their plots. Some detail them like accounting ledgers. And some erect their worlds like fucking cathedrals
