ACORN members held a rally outside the Ottawa Community Housing (OCH) head office at 173 Chapel Street. Tenants came together to speak out about serious problems in their buildings that have gone on for too long; some for over six years.

Seniors are becoming the new face of renovictions. In Ottawa, older renters on fixed incomes are being forced out of their homes with nowhere to go. Many have nowhere to turn if they lose their homes. The City must act to protect vulnerable tenants with a strong renoviction bylaw.

The 27 Bold Street Tenant Union received a lot of local attention after a 44-day gas outage and delayed AC repairs. The union achieved a major win on July 31, securing a meeting with their landlord, Valour Property Management to address ongoing issues in the building.
