I made a 4koma, based on my Japanese learning via Anki. This is how I end up memorizing a lot of kanji. I see them in some other, usually anime/manga/gaming related context, and that's how it sticks in my memory. Works quite well.

なんもねえなんもねえなんもねえよ俺ら Yani "Yanineko" Satou sketch. It's funny- I gave up on reading the manga partway through but the anime's been really engaging me. Yani's a mess. I like her a lot despite that.

he is not the only demon in our field but he is an easy one and if we can't acknowledge the VERY easiest of villains, how are we ever supposed to confront and deal with the hard ones

Roy Lichtenstein stole from us. from all of us. he thieved the legacy from our forbears and they have died in poverty while rich people luxuriate in mediocre copies of art they were barely paid to make

have sone respect for both yourself and for the people that came before, the people who made comics as they are WHAT they are, the people we owe the language of our medium to

Didn't know you were also Filipino! Lots of us in the TF community, that's fun~

I've heard of a lot of shared cultural aspects between Filipinos and Latinos. Wonder if that's some kind of fun cultural convergent evolution or perhaps less fun effect of both being controlled by Spain before. Either way, it is neat to share. Throwing a handshake across the Pacific ocean.

I do both. Head/chin point, lips point. Lip point less dramatic due to using the head/chin point.

I should ask my white friends what they thought of it- they never really asked about it but they picked up on it pretty quick, what I meant. I'm really curious what was going on in their heads when they first saw it happen, haha~

This is the part that really gets me- pointing with the lips. Just, every Filipino I know does this. Hell, I do this and I didn't even realize I did this until I noticed that all my white friends pointed, while I nodded and used my lips. God... I'm really looking forward to this movie.

The only thing unrealistic in this clip for The Forgotten Island is that she can arrive late to the party and the lechon is still mostly whole. youtu.be/NE8HqyEhxww

Who gave them the right to copy-paste my life into a movie? Because holy shit. It is surreal seeing this part of a personal lived-experience being depicted on the big screen.

Drawing used as example picture by chroo_x. Water puddles with Cirno's clothes floating in them is a whole genre of Touhou drawings that I treasure and cherish. x.com/chroo_x/stat...
