I made a 4koma, based on my Japanese learning via Anki. This is how I end up memorizing a lot of kanji. I see them in some other, usually anime/manga/gaming related context, and that's how it sticks in my memory. Works quite well.

I wanted a simple meal. Fried eggs with rice. Cook some rice then go to fry up some eggs. I try to crack one- it's hard. I'm confused- so I peel it... It's frozen. Completely frozen. No idea why. It's only ever been in the fridge. Even weirder? All the other eggs are fine. Only one egg is frozen.

When I first designed Rowe, she was a much more a tsundere type, more tired and put upon and more gate-keepy about anime. As time went on, I found that she was much more fun and compelling as a big earnest dork. Much closer to my own personal experiences growing up as an anime fan anyway.

Her attitude is largely informed by her semi-namesake, Nonon Jakuzure, as well as Haruko Haruhara from FLCL. Very nasally voice. You can hear her smirking with pretty much every one of her lines. Her hairstyle and hat is an adaptation of Hoshimachi Suisei's, just more... inquisitorial.

Portraits for a Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader game I am a part of, featuring the characters of Gill, Irina Koshka (my character), and Er-1k! I took a lot of cues from Disco Elysium for how I approached these. While I didn't go quite as stylized as DE, they were still a valuable guiding hand.

Wanted to try out the technique of line boiling in animation, so I drew up a quick thing of Tabby, made it fancy, and bam! It's a nice effect. Did this for three frames, animated on 3s. Gives a sense of movement and life, despite being still, otherwise. Would love to see this done in anime more.
