As climate solutions reporter I find many 'solutions' don't scale- or reduce pollution at all. Which is why after months of reporting I want to tell you about Vienna. Vienna has found a way to make affordable housing and combat climate change, all at the same time. Now U.S. cities want in. 🎧⬇️

"Current climate adaptation plans are inadequate and need urgent improvement. A new approach is needed to prepare for and respond to the multiple climate impacts that the UK is facing. [...]

It is therefore vital that we have a vision and clear objectives for a well-adapted UK as the CCC report calls for. I would strongly advocate for co-producing this vision with stakeholders and communities from across the UK to ensure its inclusive and comprehensive as possible."

Call for evidence 📣 Building support for the energy transition Energy Security and Net Zero Committee Deadline: 8 April 2025
committees.parliament.uk
Building support for the energy transition - Committees - UK Parliament
The ability of the Government to make difficult decisions and to change the way in which energy is generated and used in the UK will depend on being able to bring people along with it.   A vocal opposition to ‘net zero’ - including the energy transition - has grown in strength, political consensus has fractured and with it potentially the will to carry it through. The Committee is launching a new inquiry to assess whether the Government is communicating effectively so the public has the same understanding of the objectives and benefits of the transition.
