I still have 11 (yes, really!) external hard drives to connect (they contain all my photos) and THEN I should be finished. I’ve definitely missed all of y’all! 😿

Thank you for checking in! @catcarenetworkiowa.bsky.social @attyepi.bsky.social Ugh. I’ve gone from Windows 10 to 11, and it’s fought back every step of the way. I have a ridiculous amount of hardware/software/apps that all needed to be customized… and some days it was easier to just put it off.

Sorry for the radio silence. My computer has been acting up and I think it’s getting ready to have a catastrophic failure. I’ve had to tiptoe around using it (therefore, no photo work… even this post took over an hour to finally get on line.) Just a couple more days until I have my new set up… 🤞

It looks like Native American Seed seedsource.com carried it at one point. I've ordered from them many times. Maybe they'd know who carries it now?

I used to go twice a year (spring and fall.) Still great! I've got my first photo up.

Thank you! Although it's SOOO hard getting back into routines after a vacation. (whines the retired person 🙃)

My original intention of posting on Bluesky had been as "Proud Cat Parent." But, more and more, I'm being drawn into photography as art... which I've done since I first picked up a camera, just not with my cat photos. Thanks for broadening my horizons even further!

Thank you! Although, maybe, just maybe... there's a black and white version floating around that may make an appearance...😜 p.s. love the green heart! 😁

Yours truly on my trip to The Texas Hill Country. This is Wildseed Farms, outside Fredericksburg, where they grow wildflowers to harvest the seed and then sell (by the packet or the pound.) #TexasHillCountry #Fredericksburg #Wildflowers #Poppies #Flowers #BloomScrolling Photo credit: Donna Joy

A woman in a white Tilley Hat and a teal shirt with cut-off sleeves sits in a field of bright red poppies. She has her head down, partially hiding her face, while one hand holds the brim of the hat to keep it from flying away in the wind. In the distance is a rustic cedar rail fence and a line of manicured (possible?) crepe myrtles. The woman had obviously planned this photo for publication, since she REALLY dislikes when people put emojis on faces for privacy. Ick.

Oh. My. This is SPECTACULAR. I hate to steal another artist’s work….. but I’m going to have to steal this idea…😜

I ADORE backlit photos. And photos with trees. And photos with curving roads. Okay… I love everything about this photo! 😻

Thank you! I honestly had no clue it was going to turn out as well as it did! 😸

Thank you so much! I’m finding more depth of meaning in cat photography than I ever imagined. Composition comes naturally to me, since I’ve been an artist my entire life… but I’m often astonished by the story that lies just below the surface of many of my photos…

I had planned on making this a Cats Noir entry, but I just love the green of the ivy too much! It was slightly out of focus, so I made it look like an old-fashioned, low-quality, drugstore photo print. I think I nailed it! #Cats #CatsOfBluesky #Void #Voids #Caturday #Photography #Art #Lomography

Three black Voids are sitting and/or standing in front of a window that looks out on a lush green backyard. One cat is atop a wooden stepstool, while the other two are on the wide window sill. The cats are backlit; therefore, they are almost completely in silhouette. The grain of the photo has been amplified to hide the fact that the photographer took a blurry photo. (But I already admitted to that publicly… so there!)

Thank you!! It was WONDERFUL. Relaxing, exciting, invigorating… sometimes all at once! It was a car trip through The Texas Hill Country which I hadn’t done in 25 years. I took some friends with me and we had a blast. Pictures WILL be forthcoming. 😸

1/3 I’m baaack! And in typical cat fashion, they welcomed me home by: Hiding… #Cats #CatsOfBluesky #JapaneseBobtail #Tabby #OrangeTabby #OneOrangeBraincell

An orange-tabby Japanese Bobtail cat is lying on a bedspread, patterned with bright red poppies, while also hiding under a black-and-white patterned throw. Only part of his body and the bottom half of his face is visible. He thinks that he is completely invisible… and like the truth about Santa Clause… I never tell him otherwise.

Hey, everyone. I’ve got a big (fun) trip coming up next week that I’m WAAAY behind on getting ready for, so this will be my last post for about a week and a half. I’ll leave you with Moose “Sleeping the Sleep of the Just.” #Cats #CatsOfBluesky #Tabby #Manx #ManxCat
