it is possible to categorize each and every fish in the ocean into one of three categories, but we do not know what that category is

i watched this movie, called "the fly" where some guy gets turned into a fly, but you cant "turn" someone into a fly, so the whole premise just seemed ridiculous to me

Fly was wondering whether there were any clothes that he doesn't have, that he should have, so he had his friend Moth take a look. It was found that his wardrobe had some major holes in it: for his head, arms, and legs

i want there to be a website along the lines of wikipedia specific for questions and answers, where the goal is for people to propose questions and for answers to be provided to the questions (absolutely no unrelated/irrelevant answers, no reading into the questions permitted)

Good creatures, do you love your lives
and have you ears for sense?
Here is a knife like other knives,
   That cost me eighteen pence.

I need but stick it in my heart
And down will come the sky,
And earth's foundations will depart
And all you folk will die.

Cursive numbers, been working on with @itfrex.ca For all numbers except 3 and 8, the idea is generally along the lines of A-C (showing a kind of progression in form); D showing the form of the number as it exists in the cursive version. dotted green lines for missing or misaligned parts,
Four lists of numbers from 0 - 9, except 3 and 8, labeled A, B, C, D. A shows them in more or less as they are written in print. B shows them with "loops" added to 1, 5, 6, 7, 9 (2, 4 already having loops). C shows them less oriented as the were previously. D highlights in green the form of the original form of the number as they exist in the cursive forms.

0 and 2 can be conceptualized as single loops, where 0 is the line moving up into a loop and back down (upper loop), and 2 being the inverse (lower loop). 1 and 9 can be conceptualized as points followed by loops, where 1 is the line moving up into a hard angle pointed upwards, followed by a lower loop, and 9 being in the inverse. 4 and seven being the same as 0 and 2, respectively, but with a "triangle shaped" or as a "jagged loop"; "pointed loop". 5 being a lower point into a lower loop, and 6 being the inverse of 5.

counting to one trillion may sound like a lot, but if you space it over ten years you only have to count up about 270 million each day (only around 190000 a minute), and it becomes even easier if you use compression like... where x = the previous number you can say 1 x + 1 and so on....

In this book, "Early American Modernist Painting 1910-1935" by Abraham A. Davidson, it cites a phrase by Kenyon Cox, "Akajan maradak tecor sosthendi." I find it funny that apparently it’s actually supposed to be “Ajakan maradak tecor sosthendi,” 1/2
Photo of a book cover, "Early American Modernist Painting, 1910-1935" by Abraham A. DavidsonPhoto of a paragraph in the book.
"facades." (end of a paragraph that is otherwise not in the photo)
New paragraph: Of course, there was tremendous resistance in America to modernism's spread and success. The charges could be violent and outrageous. Pictures made by patients in sanitariums for the insane were claimed to be just like the paintings and drawings of the Cubists [1]. After stating that the first Orphist (a branch of Cubism practiced by the Frenchman Robert Delaunay and others) picture was done by a donkey whose tail had been dipped in paint, Kenyon Cox, a chief debunker of modernism, asked: "if an artist is to choose his symbols to suit himself, and to make them mean anything he chooses, who is to say what he means or whether he means anything? If a man were to rise and recite with a solemn voice words like 'Akajan maradak tecor sosthendi,' would you know what he meant?"^4 Such outbursts were not sporadic, nor were they symptomatic only of the years immediately following the Armory Show. In 1924, eleven years after the Armor Show, there existed a Society devoted to the combating of Cubism.^5"
New paragraph: "There was another side to the ledger, the complement to the fierce debunk-" (beginning of next line cut off)
... "elsewhere the new styles were defended" (end of text visible in photo)

From I. C. S. Reference Library Volume 8 (Carpet, Wallpaper, Bookcover, Linoleum, and Architectural Design) by the International Textbook Company, 1905?
From a "Historic Ornament" set of pages (plates?)
The "Historic Ornament" title is in a red typeface that reminds me of medieval fairs, against a light blue design and a white background.

The examples are in the section of the book labeled "Color Harmony" Fig 8 is described as a Byzantine design, with the background color being Byzantine blue
The top quarter of the figure has a green background with gold vine and circle designs.
The second quarter is a blue background with gold vine and diamond designs, with red contained within areas of the gold
The last two quarters have a blue background with a grid of small gold rectangles and small gold circles, containing respectively red and green crosses. There are larger gold squares alternating green leaves and white crosses.

Fig 9 is describde as a Gothic design from a stained glass window. It's a plant/floral design with red, blue and green leaves. A flower on one stem slightly spirals inward and contains a gold background, while the rest of the background has a parchment color. There is also some orange. somewhere....

Figures 6 and 7 are partially cut off.

Figure 6 is described as "a Moorish design constructed on geometrical lines" The lines are in red and slightly green blue, with some black against a matte gold background.

Figure 7 The background is "two shades of an orange red," there's a pattern of stem, leaf, flower designs in green white yellow and black

The gold color in figures 8 and 9 in the book are shinyA page of the book. In the top half there is a butterfly wing, mainly shades of green, yellow, black and shades of grey. At the bottom half is a grid containing squares of color that appear in the butterfly wing, meant to approximate the proportion of each color as it appears in the butterfly wing. Most are shades of green, there are some grays, some black or very dark green, some yellow, and a square of white of very light green-blue colorThe book describes the figure as "Exercises in Conventional Rendering. - As an exercise in this branch of study, arrange on a sheet of drawing paper a series of drawings of any simple plant arranged somewha as shown in Fig. 5. These should be drawn carefully in pencil and then filled in with flat washes of color and outlined with a heavy dark line laid on with a small brush. No attempt at light and shade should be expressed, although more than one tone may be employed in order to express the different parts if it is necessary in order to make the rendering more intelligible. In the figure there are some long leaves and what I think are flowers, but I'm not sure."application of natural form to various purposes"

There are illustrations of flowers in different styles, like the more cel shaded style from the previous image, there's also another style where colors are blended together. There are other deisgns using plants in circular arrangements or spirals, or as a frame or border, or as a grid.

i like the idea of ideas emerging in a society based on existing ideas and thoughts (sort of an idea that ideas are an emergent phenomenon of other ideas existing), and that ideas might be forgotten in a society and reemerge under different contexts or in completely unrelated societies/cultures
