Double. And thankfully I wasn't responsible for that knotty melody. One of my more favorite rhythm changes tunes.

Teachers at a childcare center in RVA went on strike so the YWCA closed the school. AND they're trying to hire scabs. Don't ever cross the picket line y'all.

new post...it's wordy but if I don't get it up now it's never getting up there, a meditation of sorts on the baggage of survivor endurance and why most of us will still choose the 🐻 matanaroberts.substack.com/p/d-j-a-n-g-...

I did get a little dark there for a second. For sure a "Hunks of Radon Abatement" calendar would do wonders for mom.

This shit rules. Buy it for your mom and yourself. She still won't love you but at least you'll be rocking the fuck out.

Please don’t buy our books on Amazon. If you can’t afford to buy them from a real bookstore or from us directly, pirate them from Anna’s Archive like God intended.

Not a lot of details here on how the contract will be ended or when. Also no good if they just switch to a different brand of mass surveillance aka The American Way™.

Kind of can't stop thinking about Exxon saying they're expecting global warming to hit 5°C by 2050 and how that means something like 4 billion dead and we're all just pumping gas into our cars and having endless wars just like always. And yeah I need to fill up on dead dinosaurs too.

absolute fed shit. all art is a social practice, a way of gathering, organizing, sharing spacetime, and building community. the desire to mediate this through publication is part of an ongoing process of capitalist enclosure, which is what's actually killing poetry.

What do I pay taxes for if it's going to be back in the 80s this week? Oh that's right, taxes are for endless warfare so we can have all the oil and ensure that this week next year will be in the 90s. Amen.

There is now an alternate poster for this gig one week from tomorrow at the bicycle repair co-op and "sassy mathgrind" is definitely my new favorite genre term. Day for Night will be Danny Finney, David Dominique, me & a surprise guest star who looks way better than me in leather pants.

A black and white flyer with images of what looks like an old tv and a reel to reel maybe.

Text reads:
Collapsing (noise poetry on tour)
Day for Night (improvised noise)
Cry Violence (sassy mathgrind)

Rag & Bones Bicycle Co-op
10/12
Doors at 7:39
Music at 8:00
10 dollars (NOTAFLOF)

These days AI is the un-asked-for U2 album on your new iPhone, no matter what you think of it or if you are trying to avoid it it’s been put there and a politics of purity is just misrepresentation. The privilege of thinking one opts out when it is forced on min wage workers/job applicants.
