A tiny point of light but her voice filled the theater.

Anne Carson on stage reading. She is a small point of bright light in an otherwise dark image.

There is now an alternate poster for this gig one week from tomorrow at the bicycle repair co-op and "sassy mathgrind" is definitely my new favorite genre term. Day for Night will be Danny Finney, David Dominique, me & a surprise guest star who looks way better than me in leather pants.

A black and white flyer with images of what looks like an old tv and a reel to reel maybe.

Text reads:
Collapsing (noise poetry on tour)
Day for Night (improvised noise)
Cry Violence (sassy mathgrind)

Rag & Bones Bicycle Co-op
10/12
Doors at 7:39
Music at 8:00

New bridge + sound post adjustment+ sealed cracks = a noticably louder bass. You bitches are really in for it now.

October 12 at Rag & Bones (Northside RVA) Day for Night (Danny Finney, David Dominique, me) Collapsing (on an east coast tour go check them out!) Cry Violence doors 7:30 music at 8:00 $10 notaflof Yeah that's math grind, harsh noise, and whatever the fuck we are. Bring ear plugs.

It's a square show flyer. All text in post. On top is an old black and white picture of a person in an asbestos suit walking through flames and behind that is a what looks like a yellowish-orange color field with a grid on top. These images are blended together into one. The background image is in fact an Agnes Martin painting called Friendship from 1963.

The last time my bass was opened up, May 2006 to fix cracks in the top.

It's my beautiful double bass lying on its back on a work table. The top of the bass has been cut off and the insides revealed.

Other odd packaging I like, from Erin Demastes. A plastic shell, a small pig, and a download code. Excellent fun as far as merch tables go.

Two plastic half spheres, one orange, one clear, a small pink plastic pink, and a folded slip of paper with a download code.

All of the items from the other picture in assembled form: a plastic round shell with a clear dome. Inside is the small pig and the download code.

And this beautiful patch by @gorgonparis.bsky.social is the best piece of merch I saw last week. Download code pinned to the back.

It's a black piece of cloth printed with the images (from bottom to top) a trail of hearts heading to a hand that turns into guitar strings that end in an eye/sub/gear type figure with eyelashes at the very top. On the right side us a bird's head and the words "all on a summer's day"

So far the squirrels have rejected the tromboncino squash. This swan looking motherfucker weighs in at a tight 2kg.

It's a tromboncino squash on my kitchen countertop. It is big and bulbous at one end and rather lithe and swan like at the other. The setting sun has provided some dramatic lighting.

Ben C also made this flyer exploiting his cat's former cuteness as a kitten for internet likes. A+ promotional effort.

It's a show flyer for the show linked in the previous post. It is essentially four images of a very cute kitten, one taking up the left half, and the other three taking up equal parts of the right half, with various color filters. And yeah it's a real cute cat and she is a sweetheart in person.

Found three runty, dried out stalks of Cherokee popcorn hidden beneath their taller siblings. Found these inside. Not bad for the runts of the litter.

Three small ears of Cherokee long ear small popcorn still on the cob. The individual kernels a very multi-colored running from pale yellows to almost black purples.
