Add injuries to Ekitike, Gomez, Bradley, & Leoni and we are headed into the season very thin. Liverpool have talented players everywhere and believe Iraola was the right hire, but I'm worried about the depth and balance of the roster. It all seems mismanaged.

But they couldn't get Diomande, Minteh, Sarr, or Mbaye over the line. That's 0-4 on finding a Salah replacement who they let walk for free 8 months ago. That's damning. In all Liverpool are a minimum of two players short headed into the season IF everyone was healthy.

We've got a bunch of talented wingers and I love the signing of Barcola and Munoz, but Liverpool are unbalanced. Chiesa is the only natural RW on the team. Even Munoz prefers the left. That's not to say that they all can't play RW but it is far from ideal. It's also obvious LFC wanted a RW. . .

Endo is 33, coming off an injury, and has played very limited minutes over the past few seasons. No matter how you look at it, Liverpool are at least one player light in midfield. Especially after selling Curtis to Roma. It does not seem like a serious effort was made to bring in a midfielder.

Dom will play significant minutes in those other roles which reduces the options to three. I'm excited about Trey but he's a 19 year old with less than 100 PL minutes to his name. McConnell is a decent player but would have gone on loan to the Championship if LFC didn't need the numbers.

Aroújo was a great signing given the age, experience, profile & value. I already think LFC should make it permanent. Midfield is a different story. On the surface, it looks like we have 4 players for 2 spots: Grav, Dom, Macca, & Nyoni. But Dom is also our best RB, back up 10, & an option at RW.

As for the transfer window: #LFC was never going to sign a fullback this summer. Kerkez will get more time given the investment in him & Tsimikas is a decent backup. As for RB: Bradley, Frimpong, Gomez, Dom, & Aroújo can all play there with Bradley viewed as a potential long-term solution there.

My son gets a book through Dolly Parton's Appalachian literacy foundation every month. He really looks forward to it both because of the books and it's a little piece of mail directed to him. She did a lot of good for people in our part of the world. I'll drink one to her tonight.

I'm not complaining because I bet Cal (+5) but Virginia Tech just got screwed on a roughing the passer call that was horrific. The hit wasn't late, wasn't targeting, and was relatively mild. That call changed the whole complexion of this game.

I'm an Alabama criminal defense attorney. If she's charged with a misdemeanor (which public lewdness is) and she was arrested by the city PD then she should bond out directly from the city jail. They only transfer for felonies.
