Palantir has been paying Tom Watson since November 2024. He kept voting in the House of Lords the whole time: 30 votes on the Crime and Policing Bill while Palantir was chasing a £50m Met Police contract, 8 on the Border Security Bill, 5 on the Data Bill.In March he took leave of absence. In May the Lords replaced his register of interests with one line: "On leave of absence; exempt from registration." On 18 September Palantir made him its UK senior vice president.Palantir's £330m NHS contract has a break clause in February 2027. The government decides by December.
