Tumblr screenshot. First post says: hurr hurr I'm a human body hurr hurr I'm gonna solve all my problems with mucus.
Second post says: "I require more fluids" well what did you do with the fluids I already gave you. hmm? did you make more mucus with them? you made more mucus with them.

Shang-fu from #30WeirdAncientBirds. Supposedly if you eat its meat, you don't need to sleep - but I wonder if it's backwards and you can only see this mythical bird if you haven't slept?

Instead of sharing fake birds, consider this real bird -- the shima enaga (Japanese long-tailed tit)

The Chestnut Oak and Red Oak acorns are so pretty compared to the White Oak ones, but they're also so bitter... I guess there's a reason all the critters are eating the White Oak acorns

perfectly smooth chestnut oak acorns, and pretty powdered red oak acorns

More foraging adventures - the white oak near me was masting, so I picked some acorns and made acorn jelly. Also, did you know that acorn weevil larva is delicious???

whole acorns from a red oak sitting in a colander. two buckets of brown acorn water sitting on a counter. they're labeled with the date they're harvested.

It's interesting that Nyaan is Thai because Thailand is the only country in Southeast Asia that never got colonized. Earth's colonial history has long been a theme in Gundam - Tomino often uses settings that were ex-colonies such as Ireland, Dakar, and Hong Kong. #GQuuuuuuX

It's garlic mustard season! Can you believe there are free vegetables just growing in the ground for anyone to eat?!!

In GQuux, Machu's lamentation of the fake gravity in Side 6 concludes with her jumping into a swimming pool and noting the lack of a real ocean. How can humanity evolve if it refuses to acknowledge the atrocities of its own creation? I think that'll be something to pay attention to in the future.

Water (more specifically, the ocean) as a symbol in Gundam has long been associated with Newtypes. And what is the thematic thrust of Newtypes? Well...
