I attended a true West Virginian fireworks show this weekend. Some fireballs barely flew above my face and sparks burned my eyeball because I was so close. The way people discuss ai “art” doesn’t feel new to me. As a professional graphic designer people belittled my expertise saying that they could “do what I do.” Making art is seen as a “fun job” and not taken seriously. Like I was just a kid getting the finger paints out and going to town.
