Street of the Week: Ambrose Street Ambrose Street is named after the developer who built up the area. Thomas Ambrose bought the land and built houses which would later become the street that would bear his name.

Street of the Week: Campbell Street This street was built in the mid 1870s on what was then part of the Dudhope Estate. At the time the estate was owned by William MacBean Rankine, who inherited the estate from a distant relative, Richard Gardner in 1862.

Street of the Week: Lilybank Road Part of this road still exists, running north from Broughty Ferry Road. It then used to bank east and then north to connect to Arbroath Road on the west side of Glebelands Primary School.

Street of the Week: Blackscroft The area around this street was feued to a Mr Paton Black in 1540. By 1581 the area was known as Blackscroft. Paton Black was a wright, and did work on St Mary’s Parish Church in the 1550s.
