One of the new horns that will be added in the Year 2 Update is the “SEGA!” scream from Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, whose voice you may recognize from classic SEGA games like Daytona USA and SEGA Rally Championship! (Clip from Argick)

After watching this again, I realized that Batman: Mask of the Phantasm pulls a lot of scenes from Akira.

ICYMI: 🎩🎸 The Jersey Jack Pinball Sonic the Hedgehog cabinet, released for Sonic's 35th Anniversary, features additional guitar riffs provided by British-American musician Slash. Here's a brief preview of the game's rendition of It Doesn't Matter, captured from the cabinet's audio. #SonicNews

I wanted to see if I could still remember how to beat this boss in Sonic Superstars. This and the two final bosses in Frontiers are probably my least played Super Sonic fights.

It is now 9 years since Sonic Mania came out 😱... another trivia nugget: at one point we had a screen that showed you the animals that were inside the Heavies giving them their personalities! It didn't make the cut (maybe didn't comply with brand guidelines or there wasn't enough time IDK)

When I saw Steady Hands drop their Jet Set Radio collection and saw the Gum sweater, I knew I had to draw the character wearing it.

I wanted to get this Sonic Frontiers sticker when the game came out, but for some reason it was way overpriced. I finally found one for cheap. I also wanted to scan the art on it since I don't think the full version has been posted anywhere. Link below for scans!

I got these vending machine drinks from Japan! They were part of a series celebrating Sonic's history, with each can featuring a different Sonic game. These were the ones I wanted most, though I'm still trying to track down the Sonic 1 and Sonic CD cans.

I managed to get to the Sonic Chaos Hunt in San Diego! Tails ran away before we could take a photo though.

For whatever reason, they never answered who drew this when people were asking about the artist. And I didn't see anything from them that identified the artist. I do agree that it looks like her style though.

I got this tote bag from Japan featuring a really cool illustration. It was part of a collaboration between Sega and Mobility Resort Motegi. I think the artwork has been shared on social media before, but I scanned it anyway just in case. Link to scans below!

-that a Sonic game was going to be released for the Game Boy. I've always liked that promo artwork of Sonic and Shadow running through a roadway in the jungle. I think this issue was the only place where it was used. (2/2)

It's wild that I bought this GamePro issue 25 years ago! It was an interesting time to be a fan of the franchise because Sonic Adventure 2 was the last Sonic game released on a Sega console, and Sonic Advance was on the horizon. I remember being shocked when it was announced in January 2001-(1/2)

A while back, I found a Japanese Sega "Mega World" commercial featuring a claymation Sonic. I recently picked up and scanned a magazine ad showing the actual sculpts used in the commercial. One page also has what looks like a small comic hidden behind the artwork. I've never seen it before- (1/2)

Found the golden Classic Sonic backpack hanger from Just Toys! There are 12 to collect, including three glow-in-the-dark versions and three gold-dipped variants. I got the idea to use it as a car ornament like in Rad Mobile!

I received my Steady Hands Persona 5 Royal items! I already had a Shuujin Academy blazer from another brand, so I’m really glad they made a cardigan version. I also picked up a shirt featuring one of my favorite illustrations they created for the game.
