Good to see the Pope taking a stand against AI and promoting the arts, but I do wonder how broad this alliance might be, as many artists and cultural institutions touch on subjects that I can imagine would be anathema to the Catholic Church

The only banned book I read back in the day was Last Exit to Brooklyn. Allen Ginsberg apparently said it would "still be eagerly read in a hundred years", but I can't say I'm too keen to revisit it.

Remember books? Weight in your hands. Paper beneath your fingers. A cover you keep looking at. Poems you return to. BEAUTIFUL LITTLE FOOLS is a proper hardback made to last. Edited by Alan Parry He/Him & Karen Pierce Gonzalez shorturl.at/126Ks
Book cover for Beautiful Little Fools: Poetry of Glamour, Obsession, and the Gilded Age. A stylised Art Deco illustration shows a sharply dressed man in a black tuxedo and a glamorous woman in a black cloche hat, with geometric black, white and burgundy shapes behind them. The title appears in large white lettering on a deep burgundy panel, with The Broken Spine logo at the bottom.

"Come wander where the dales unfold" — the book's first line, and still the truest map of what it's trying to do. Not to have the last word on a place. Just to leave it open enough to still have more. #MoorToShore #Poetry
A sweeping vista of the North Yorkshire Dales at daybreak. Ancient limestone outcrops break through rolling green slopes, intersected by a network of grey dry stone walls. In the foreground, an old, silvered timber gate stands partially open, revealing a winding sheep track that disappears into the valley. The atmosphere is damp and ethereal, with morning mist settling in the hollows. The light is soft and diffused, catching the rough texture of the stone and the dew on the long grass. High-resolution, cinematic landscape photography.
