Arthur Câmara @abcamara.com · 20/09/2026I’ve been playing around with Jev for retrieval annotation and, while not perfect, it’s somewhat comparable to gpt-5.6-luna while being ~10x faster and cheaper. 000

Arthur Câmara @abcamara.com · 20/08/2026I’ve thought about buying the Ray-Ban Meta many times. With two young kids and the idea of having a POV camera attached to my glasses that can be used for taking pictures and videos of them without pulling my phone out is really enticing. Until I realize it’s Meta. And how creepy they can be. 220

Arthur Câmara @abcamara.com · 18/07/20265.6-Sol Ultra is great at speed running crappy code while greatly overthinking and overreaching its scope. Meanwhile Opus is getting lazier by the day, hallucinating that it can’t change something in the current worktree because it will “impact thousands of agents in production right now”. 000

Arthur Câmara @abcamara.com · 05/07/2026Every time I ask an LLM to write something, I don't even consider sending it to someone else before throughly re-writing it. I have an almost primordial disgust feeling when I read a LLM-written text, even if everything is correct, the style makes me physically uncomfortable while reading. 020
Arthur Câmara @abcamara.com · 05/07/2026I really, really dont understand how some people/companies get the raw, clearly LLM-written text and just slap it on a corporate email and send it along. Do they really think it "looks good"? Or that no one will notice? 100
Arthur Câmara @abcamara.com · 29/05/2026Also often seen after you point out some really crappy code that agent wrote. 000
Arthur Câmara @abcamara.com · 22/05/2026Why didn't anyone made a 3D-printable shim for keeping you laptop slightly opened for when you need to walk around while an agent is doing stuff? 100

Arthur Câmara @abcamara.com · 27/10/2025There are some engineers in São Paulo (and I think some in Rio?) but Belo Horizonte’s office still has the largest headcount for engineers, with a lot of work on search. 000
Arthur Câmara @abcamara.com · 27/10/2025I’m a bit behind on my podcasts, but a small correction about Google Engineering offices worldwide: Brazil’s (main) engineering office is not in São Paulo, but in Belo Horizonte. It was created after they bought a startup spun out from the state’s University (Akwan) in 2005. 100
Arthur Câmara @abcamara.com · 09/10/2025I had very similar experiences... The only games that I found to be somewhat reliable about not showing ads and working offline are the ones from SagoMini. Arthur Câmara @abcamara.com · 07/07/2025I’m far from a Luddite in these matters. I’m a happy (so far) paying costumer for Cursor, and codex is great. But every time I use these tools, I am more and more convinced that programming is far from over. 100
