I put in a complaint to The Age today, and this was their response.

Dear Abbie,
Thank you for your feedback.
The Trumpet of Patriots ads are paid advertisements and are clearly labelled as such.
Their publication has no influence over our commitment to independent and fearless journalism. The Age’s editorial independence remains absolute. Our newsrooms operate under a strict charter of editorial independence that ensures we report fairly and fully, regardless of any commercial or political interests.
The advertisement was written and authorised by a political party that is registered with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC). The Parliamentary Education Office and Ad Standards advise that concerns about any political advertising should be directed to the advertiser, local members of parliament or the AEC.
The Age’s role is to inform readers; it is not our approach to censor political viewpoints in paid ads. We are on the record stating that the claim in the latest advertisement is “an unhelpful and provocative contribution to the national discussion that this masthead does not endorse.”
As we declare in today’s editorial, “The Age refuses to allow Palmer – or other billionaires and politicians – to avoid criticism and scrutiny by mounting an election campaign via unchallenged advertising slogans. We will continue to criticise and scrutinise in our editorial coverage, as we do today, throughout the election campaign.”

Holy crap, I've never seen so many hits on our website in 1 day. This is what happens when governments cause harm to the trans community, folks are actively fighting this. Seriously, I've been getting anomaly notifications about traffic all week because of this. So thank you!

Looks like DreamHack Australia isn't going ahead in 2025 or in the future.
