Was shopping for protein bars over the weekend, got trapped in a 10min conversation with an older gentleman who ended up giving me his recipe for protein cheesecake. Spent the whole time politely responding and slowly trying to inch away. My girlfriend says I'm just a grump though.

On the advice of my ex-semi driver dad, I took the truck and RV to a large empty parking lot to get experience before taking it on the road. Wild that anyone can just buy giant vehicles without any skill test.

As someone who just bought one of these large trucks to haul my RV, it's wild to me that you don't have to go through a special license program to drive something this big. Especially when you're hauling 26' of trailer.

Part of the issue is definitely Americans attention, sensationalism gets clicks. I think the larger issue is they have a financial incentive to continue to drum up emotions, which makes me question their motivation.

Legacy gaming is a breeze with Proton. Unless you play modern titles with kernel level anticheat it's never been easier to be a Linux gamer. On area you might struggle is mods, but there are a lot of work being done by the OS community to bridge that gap.
