Konami really here trying to make my personal GotY another Metroidvania, huh? The demo for Castlevania is SO good!

I had the best day of my life on Sunday. I got to ride that high for 1.5 days before someone grabbed me by the collar and slammed me back down to the ground.

Started FFXIII again since it's both been 17 years and there's some implied XIII influence on Evercold. Jeez this game is BRAINLESS. Every battle, just *A A A A A* (auto battle)

What keeps me going? Everyday is an experience. I gain new knowledge that I didn't have yesterday. I see new things that I didn't know existed. There's an endless amount of that in the world. It'd be a shame to miss out on it all. That's why I never want it to end.

I see we're shaming people for using new technology in a way single minded people think it can be used, whether someone is actually using it for that or not. Cool. Technology will halt because anyone who uses smart glasses is a pervert now, no matter what they use them for.

Still in hot take territory here, I'm at the level 98 quests in Dawntrail, and I still enjoy it. In fact, the one small part of the story where Wuk Lamat was not present so far was really the only part of the story I wanted to quit at....

Why when a remake of something is announced do people complain that the voice cast is being replaced? You want to hear the same actors reading the same lines? You have the original still. Let someone else have the opportunity.

Plot points that will ALWAYS be lost on me: they're an irredeemable PoS bent on destroying everything, but they're family. You should cut 'em some slack (bonus points if they never knew they were related until the very end).

So 13 years later, you recognize your dog whom you've been separated from since he was a puppy, but not the only silver-blue haired girl you grew up with? While you yourself are recognizable to some Cid you've never even met? (Who is also amazing even though I've only known him 5 minutes)

000

SquigglyGhost 👻 @aave.thois.day · 16/12/2025

I have been informed that there is a secret bench in what I deemed to be the worst thing Team Cherry has ever designed in Silksong, and I owe them an apology. Unfortunately, I have already finished that area, but it could've been so much easier 😭

SquigglyGhost 👻 @aave.thois.day · 09/12/2025

Even if Silksong doesn't win Game of the Year this year, all the games up for it this year are more than deserving of the award. But Silksong is just such a well designed game, it's definitely my personal GotY (except Bilewater. Team Cherry should be ashamed of that atrocity they designed)

000

SquigglyGhost 👻 @aave.thois.day · 08/09/2025

I've been seeing that people think Silksong is too difficult? I'm seeing it's easier than Hollow Knight original, however I have tried playing on 2 different monitors, one at 30hz and one at 60hz. The input lag on the 30hz made everything so much harder. Definitely stopped that...
