Another late Day "7" because random essays suck. Night theme: New Donk City Night 2 from Super Mario Odyssey. Dark, mysterious, and modern awesomeness from Naoto Kubo.

Day "7", since I got swamped by an essay yesterday. A Grave Mistake by Ice Nine Kills. Literally their whole concept is a horror-themed rock/metal band. And they make bangers. www.youtube.com/watch?v=15hr...

Wish I could've wrote some and did some SM63, but I needed to rush together a 1,100 word essay after getting jumpscared by it being due today. The page say's it was due Saturday, but I guess it wasn't. At least I submitted it now. Is it good? No. Is it adequate? Maybe.

Oh yeah. To close off PMCS 10 years, I... uh, have a half-complete AO3 alt-universe fic about it. Go check it out if you want and haven't yet. Or it's a reminder if you haven't caught up to chapter 25. As for Chapter 26? It'll come, one day. archiveofourown.org/works/781131... #papermariocolorsplash

Day 6 of scary rock/metal songs. Quote Unquote by Mr. Bungle. It's got the spooky styling, but also has another big quality: being REALLY, REALLY weird. It's called avante-garde for a reason. youtube.com/watch?v=utlSZNPsgIA

Day 5 (character theme): The Supreme Logician from Advance Wars: Days of Ruin/Dark Conflict. Written by Yoshito Sekigawa, it's a cool theme on itself, but this fan remix made me fall in love with it. youtube.com/watch?v=WbMDthff1zc

Day 5 of scary rock/metal songs: Cellar Door by Spiritbox. Another heavy one, with a lot of djent influence. This one doesn't bring the levity, unless creepy ambient passages count as such. But the crazy progressive breakdown is insane! The video is also pretty dark. youtube.com/watch?v=pZwKjaRHJqo

Day 4 of scary rock/metal songs: Escape by The Devil Wears Prada. A much more brutal metal song, thanks to panic and stress with the riffs and orchestrated background, and lyrics about escaping a zombie horde. Still got a soaring chorus mixed in to bring some levity. youtube.com/watch?v=dgJFyar1yqY

(sorry, late) Day 3 (favorite battle theme): I LOVE Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door's Chapter 7 battle theme in the remake. So much mystery and vibe in that almost spacey feeling theme. I wish the moon surface used this Ch7 theme, and let the techno theme play only on the X-Naut Base.

(Sorry, Late) Day 3 of scary rock/metal songs: Night Crawler by Judas Priest (1990). Aggressiveness and a bit of evilness in those riffs, and an exquisite spoken-word bridge warning you of a murderous, bloodthirsty beast that has come to attack town. youtube.com/watch?v=5yyO_HozK0c

It's about being transactional. In patriarchy, anything a man does is expected to be returned with what he sees fit. In this case, a sliver of respect for women makes patriarchists say, "Therefore you're entitled to get laid"

If the person is correct about Schaff's reason... then I guess it'd be obnoxious, but if he doesn't want to watch it, that's his business, and people shouldn't tell him what to watch. As long as he doesn't make a video complaining about a movie he didn't watch.

Fun fact: The board game Monopoly is played wrong by most people, making it take way longer. This rule always gets skipped: if someone lands on a property and doesn't buy it, then an auction happens and the highest bidder takes it and pays the bank. It doesn't stay unclaimed.
