I made a sort of "prototype" version. It is in fact a non-drawing kind of art thing.

I've been making SOMETHING. Very slowly, but it's coming together. I'll only say anything else once it's near done.

SUPER proud of a huge SM63 PB. That makes 2/3 Experienced times. I still have to get a Novice 100% time, though. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vStp...

Josh Gilbert can play bass super well, all while providing some great singing in whichever band he's in.

Josh Gilbert providing backing vocals in Spiritbox's music video for the song "Mourning", while playing a bass guitar.

Fun fact: The board game Monopoly is played wrong by most people, making it take way longer. This rule always gets skipped: if someone lands on a property and doesn't buy it, then an auction happens and the highest bidder takes it and pays the bank. It doesn't stay unclaimed.

Been on another grind to get a 34:XX run, which would get me a second Experienced rank. On the start of the grind, I was at 38:30. Now I've improved by 2:57. I'll keep practicing on the levels to ensure my Shine Cancels are good. After Bowser 2, I failed each one. www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLLZ...

An any% PB ALMOST gets me to sub-8:00, but Space did not go very well (and Escape wasn't perfect, either), after exiting Bowser's Castle on sub-8:00 pace. I know where to really put my energy in, at least. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9THV...

So far, a consolation prize. Ratko Mladic, a Serb warlord who massacred thousands of Bosnians, the vast majority being innocent civilians. No wonder he's called the Butcher of Bosnia. He died in prison, since he was convicted by the ICC of war crimes and genocide. May Netanyahu face the same fate.

Huh... I just discovered a weird musical combination: jazz fusion and very technical death metal. And it... works?!

000

aarontgp @aarontgp.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Pretty much any time I hear a MEAN sounding thrash riff, I can't help but think of Origami King's Handaconda boss fight, and imagining that riff being in the boss theme. The boss theme was essentially the first thrash-inspired music I got really into, after all.

You know, despite this album having so many iconic songs (arguably some of the most popular in heavy metal), I never heard the whole thing. So I'm doing that.

I was able to get a big old PB in SM63 10 Shine (from 14:22 to 13:50), but for some reason, the screen recording software just failed, despite it recording the audio just fine. It's not gonna be verified without video.
