Fast and sketchy Sons of Medusa! Art time with the kid today. So naturally I drew warhams. #warhammer #warhammer40k #40k #warhammer40000 #sonsofmedusa #badabwar #art #illustration

Airbrush is officially up and running. This is a huge step back in the right direction. It’s been nearly 15 years since I’ve had an airbrush setup and back then it wasn’t the best. Big upgrade to my kit tonight getting my new gear going. Very excited for what it means for my tiny war dollies 👏

@militarytimes.bsky.social hit me up last month for a quick turnaround piece with a fun angle so we made it happen! We went with the board game in action look reminiscent of Risk and one of my own personal favorites Memoir ‘44. Happy to have another printed cover under my belt 👏 #art #illustration

Brushed on some chipping for a Star Phantom! The plan is batch painting so at least four more terminators, then oil wash with Paynes Gray. It’s all very exciting to finally be chipping away at these! (HA!) #warhammer #warhammer40000 #oldhammer #starphantoms #badabwar #40k #warhammer40k

With the latest Lysander reveal, it reminds me of my count as version from way back in 5th edition for my Sons of Medusa. Purge the weak 💀 #sonsofmedusa #badabwar #warhammer40000 #spacemarines #warhammer40k

Getting more dudes together. Heresy era weapons fit with some extremely minor gap filling. Dude in front has been in my bits box for like 20 years. Happy to have him modeled up even if it’s all Frankensteined. #warhammer #warhammer40000 #badabwar

This stunner is ready to paint. Fun (see: frustrating) challenge to find all the right bits (still some missing) to get it up to speed and repaired after a few decades beyond its prime. But I’m happy to have it primed and ready at last. Should be fun (see: probably infuriating) to paint!

Aaron Provost @aaronprovost.bsky.social · 13/06/2025

Yeah, ok. It’s another unpainted mini, but seriously. Just look at this absolute beast of a marine. He’s been sitting in my cases for over a decade. Just waiting. And it’s finally time. Bringing him along on my Star Phantoms adventure as a Lieutenant to add some additional punch to units as needed

Painting and trying some paint scheme ideas. I spend a lot of time in this stage. Here’s to getting the look right and hopefully finishing the army this summer 😂

I think I need 1, maybe 2 more metal terminators to complete the second squad and build out a 500 point Star Phantoms Boarding Action list... #badabwar #warhammer

I’ve wanted a scout squad with helmets since 3rd edition. Now I am finally going to make that a reality. Just one question: which helmet?? #warhammer #warhammer40k #spacemarine #spacemarines #ravenguard #miniatures #tabletop #tabletopgames #killteam

Back in Batch! It’s been a while since I’ve batch painted. Laying in the base color for the body with VMC German Gray. Basing with VMC Orange Brown.🐝🐝🐝 #wargames #warhammer #warhammer40k #warhammercommunity #warhammerpainting #miniaturegames #miniaturepainting #miniature #wargaming #modelpainting

Trying to figure out a chapter for the board game marines. Currently considering Blood Ravens, Scythes of the Emperor, or Raptors.

New paint rack freebies from a friend who didn’t need them. Need to reorganize the hobby desk a bit now but these are great.

A little random hobby time never hurts! Some Soace Marine Adventures minis, a rogue trader, and Ragnar Blackmane himself. Now to sort out what chapter for the firstborn…any ideas? #warhammer #warhammer40k #warhammercommunity

Don’t ask me to invest in a company after their CEO was on television doing Nazi salutes and emboldening neo-Nazi groups here and abroad. Afterward he spoke to the AfD party in Germany whose leader said, I quote, “I will never say that anyone who wore an SS uniform was automatically a criminal.”

First Kasrkin is coming along. Still working out details here and there for them. But these are the base colors for everything.

This was a fun co-op whodunit with a young one. Took a second to get us spun up on all the rules but once it was going we just got to have fun rolling dice and moving around the board to figure out who the thief was! Some attention from littles required 😂 #boardgame #boardgames #kids #games

These dudes are pretty cool so far. Really like how dynamic they are. Some smart design. Sorting the basing for each adds a little extra challenge but I’ve come up with a pretty simple plasticard or sprue method. #warhammer40k #40k

Came up with a random idea to create kill team maps with large poster prints! Includes play area of 22x30” horizontal and vertical center lines as well as long and short board edge deployment zones all marked out in a subtle line. Get it here: aaronprovost.com/products/ven...

Proof of life. I’m tired. Emotionally drained. Keeping my head above water though. A lot of stuff wrapping up. Some more stuff coming back to the desk and a bunch more work to do in the future. Just keeping up. Here’s to some breathing room in a month.
