Blue states have to be better governed. * Those governing blue states (and cities!) have to do a better job. Otherwise, your best people will 1) leave and 2) relocate to red states. *(the biggest blue states seem to be the least competent)

Much of South Florida is a sun-baked concrete wasteland. But on a drive with Victor Dover, he pointed out that you can literally make out Coral Gables' borders on Google Maps' aerial satellite view because the city committed to tree planting when most of the region did not .

Fair. The class is definitely overrepresented in college towns, obviously, but the thesis holds true even in (less-college) towns like Raleigh. Nearly every where I've gone, studied or worked in, the most vile and reckless NIMBYs all have terminal degrees (often PhD, but also a lot of JDs)

REMINDER: Nimbyism is going to bring disastrous electoral consequences for liberal America. Because so many Americans are leaving blue states and moving to red states, in 2030 a Democratic presidential candidate can win ALL of the "Blue Wall" states and will STILL likely lose the election.

Urban townhomes of this size would be natural starter homes, but they have largely been legislated out of existence by urban planners, who habitually require: minimum lot sizes setbacks parking density maximums It's an equity issue: these rules kill urban starter homes. .
