Why did you vote yes on the final vote? Who are you beholden to? Not democracy, apparently.

Granite staters are smarter than this. We fight for what is right. I’m ashamed our Senators caved.

Tried to call Sen Hassan’s office many times today and it just plays classical music. You can’t even leave a message. Feels like a slap in the face. And she isn’t on BlueSky-just the other place and I won’t go back!

What do you do about a Senator (Hassan) whose line plays music before it even rings and no option even for a message? Extremely frustrating

NIH cuts are getting the press, but VA research is getting slashed too. What do we lose when VA research goes away? Here's some greatest hits: The nicotine patch, invention of the cardiac pacemaker, first successful liver transplant, development of the CAT/CT scan prospect.org/health/2025-...

VA Research Funding Slashed
Though not as prominent as the NIH, VA researchers play a major role in advancing basic health science. Hundreds of projects have been cut.

My democratic senators are voting yes, and I can’t reach them on any of their phone lines. Mad as hell.

It is tough. And I’ve followed so many wonderful political commentators, but then when I log in I just learn more about the US devastation occurring. So I’ve stayed away…..

We need the head of the FAA back, reinstatement of the safety advisory committee and more air traffic controllers. Good government matters and should not be run by unelected billionaires

Once again - To those who accused me of lying about the anti-DEI language crackdowns at UT-Austin, I hope you have a terrible year. But more so, I hope you read this, learn what’s happening to us, and are able to stop it from coming to your university. www.texasobserver.org/censorship-u...

Faculty and students are experiencing profound disruption and distress, which starkly contrasts with the arrogant posture and detached demeanor of those perpetrating this harm.

Claire-thank you for sharing. As someone who spent time teaching at UT, I’m aghast (actually hard to find the right word). Such destruction of so much in so little time. And it already is spreading outside ofTexas

We need to recognize that data alone won’t bring people along (and can sometimes backfire). We have to appeal to the heart/emotional side/pick your change model term so that people can feel the importance of public health, not just think it.

Years ago I volunteered at a folk festival and told Nancy Griffith to move away from the stage because she was in an area reserved for wheelchairs. Had no idea she was the performer on next. She was super polite, apologized, and moved away—didn’t even mention who she was. Loved her music ever since!
