Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep I knew this game was short but I didn't even know I was at the end until after the final boss otherwise I might've tried to pick up some more optional stuff. Admittedly I'm not a fan of the artstyle this game went for even if I think the level of detail is nice 000
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance So technically this could be considered my first KH game since I played the demo a good bit as a kid. Only now though am I actually getting to play it. Game is good, flowmotion is really cool. My main gripe just comes from how buggy the Steam port felt 100
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Pokemon Pokopia With how much I loved the DQ Builders games I was really hoping that I’d enjoy this more while I did like the game overall it really could’ve been better if it had the QoL their other series has had (infinite materials, better storage, and better tools) Good use of mouse mode though 120
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Visions of Mana I actually really liked this game despite it's problems. The combat was really fun and a major step up from the Trials remake. That being said stuff like fast travel limits and slow side quests did a good job at dragging the experience down towards the end 111
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Born of Bread This was another Paper Mario inspired RPG that ended up being pretty good despite how buggy it was at times. Music was good and I liked the party members. I will say the game felt like it leaned more on the easy side though at least when comparing to Bug Fables 130
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Supraland This is a puzzle game combining elements from Zelda, Metroid, and Portal. While I can see the inspiration, most of the areas were so big that it was hard to keep up with random (sometimes important) upgrades or the various puzzle mechanics 120
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Another Direct for today and it had some stuff I'm hyped about and some I'm not sure about New Metroid is Cool and it being after Dread is interesting New Kirby looks pretty good so far Age of Calamity Switch 2 was a welcome surprise Pikmin 4 is a mixed bag for me right now and Xeno 3 DLC seems good 010
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 09/09/2026The Last Campfire This was a puzzle game that had an almost storybook type narrative to it. Game looks charming and had some interesting puzzles to it 100
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 08/09/2026As for the game itself I feel a bit more torn on it. Graphics look good but I'll need to get used to them. I don't like the new item system and that they are still using Wild era Ui elements. Rest of it looks fine and the voice based Ocarina is pretty funny. 000
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 08/09/2026Just got around to watching the Zelda Direct and while it featured about all I expected. -Orchestra getting a tour is cool, I just hope it comes near where I am -I was hoping for a trailer instead of a title for the movie -Amiibo and special edition stuff looks good 121
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Axiom Verge 2 After how much I liked the first I should’ve gotten to this sooner especially since I’ve had it since launch but the early game turned me away from it. Now I’d say the game is pretty good despite that even if it’s a bit too easy after a point. The first one is still better imo 110
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 04/09/2026Garden Story This was an indie game I had for a while that combines elements from the Farming Genre along with some Zelda. It does a decent job at that even if they clash a bit with the day structure and slow town progression hindering the exploration and combative side. Overall I still enjoyed it 110
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 01/09/2026I also took a clip of the funny Louie moment. Visuals do look better aside from some UI elements looking a bit pixelated but I don’t really have the best eye for that stuff anyways. I should probably see about trying Bingo Battle online someday as it’s been a bit since I’ve played it 010
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 01/09/2026With the Switch 2 update out I decided to do another run of the Pikmin 3 campaign and actually got a new PB. Which was a bit surprising as I felt like I was pretty slow on some days. Also most of my deaths were either me being dumb or trying to rush a fruit by something 110
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Halo 2 The second game in my run of the series which featured a much more enjoyable campaign for me. Guns mostly felt better between ammo, damage, and dual wielding. The Arbiter was pretty fun to play as even if the ending was disappointing due to a cliffhanger. 100
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 25/08/2026Halo: Combat Evolved First time ever touching the series and I think it was pretty good. Campaign didn't do much to sell me until the midpoint but some guns were fun to use. maps were way too big, and vehicles were pretty clunky. I'm interested to see what the rest of the collection is like though 100
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 23/08/2026Steam World Dig 2 A Metroidvania themed around mining which makes you strike a balance between rushing for upgrades or slowing down for gems. I do think the sequel ended up doing a good job at continuing the first even if both games are just alright to me 120
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 21/08/2026Bug Fables Man do I have thoughts on this one. I thought I’d like it more with how much I liked TTYD. I do think the game is fine though and it did do a good job at its bosses and story, but it was a slog for me to get through it. I’d still recommend it to any paper Mario fan (more in alt text) 120
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 21/07/2026Unlocked Terminus weapons today, now onto leveling those up then maybe the DLC? I might take some time to build up party members for solo play instead depending on how I feel next time I hop on 030
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 19/07/2026Rhythm Heaven Groove Arguably the best in the series from what I’ve played now. Good bit everything here from single player to multiplayer, to rhythm game to an rpg. Remixes were all fun with some new twists to them. A for effort has got to be my favorite of the new games personally 130
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 13/07/2026The recent Granblue Relink DLC gave me the motivation to finally finish the post game. Now on to endgame and DLC stuff whenever I find the time for it 020
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 29/06/2026EarthBound Beginnings: Snes First time trying a ROM hack for Earthbound and its one that aims to remake the original. They did a great job at that with the visuals and mechanics being true to the source. The EB battle mechanics end up working so much better for this than on the original Mother 140
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 26/06/2026Finished Deltarune Chapter 5 today. While I had an idea of where the chapter would take place I ended up surprised by both the story direction and the characters used. Overall though it’s a really good chapter and I’m really curious about where it’s going next (and really concerned for weird route…) 110
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 05/06/2026Alright so I finished Act 2 tonight and I'm pretty impressed. It left off exactly where I thought it would (so unfortunately no Ana yet) but the factories were interesting to explore for once and I can tell Magicant will be used later. Encores are a cool idea and I hope to see what Lloyd can do soon 010
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 04/06/2026Also I know she had a really small combative role in the original but I hope to see more of Pippi later. Her spritework is so funny looking and I’m always glad to have a bigger party. Not being able to get her items back from her though does give me a little bit of hope for a future act. 110
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 04/06/2026Replaying the Mother Encore demo at the moment since I didn’t carry over my save data and forgot just how much I love this remake so far. Dialog is great, combat feels nice, and not having to deal with old game jank is so nice now. I’ve yet to get to act 2 though so I’ll see what that’s like soon! 120
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 26/05/2026Chrono Trigger This is a game that's been on my backlog for a long time and I finally got around to finishing it. Its take on real time combat is interesting if not a bit annoying. I really liked the main party and my only gripe was that I wasn't playing this blind. Went for the main ending myself 120
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 16/05/2026Elementallis So fun fact about this game, it’s one of the few games I’ve funded a kickstarter for so I got to see behind the scenes stuff. Although I only got the just the game tier. The game itself plays like a 2D Zelda game with basic elements taking over your items leading to some combo ideas 110
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 27/04/2026Marvel Rivals dropped a new PvE mode and its pretty fun so far. Definitely an improvement over the last one between the new characters and kind of less rng dependent builds. Personally I've been running a shotgun Punisher build but I am interested in seeing what other characters may offer. 010
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 26/04/2026Here’s an example of what the purple coin beach bowl mission needs. Got close but didn’t want to spend anymore time on this after a point. Alternatively there is a 2 player method which is how Matter Splatter is done but that’s a whole other problem 010
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 26/04/2026I’ve got a few videos I’ll chain together since videos seem to be limited to one per post 110
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 26/04/2026Recently went through Galaxy 1 again as the movie got me interested again, but to spice it up I tried to limit my usage of the spring-mushroom. I managed to finish toytime without it but I gave up trying after seeing what purple coin beach bowl and matter splatter would need out of me 120
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 26/04/2026Rift of the Necrodancer This was a rhythm game I'd been eying for a while since I enjoyed the other two (even if I suck at Crypt...). This one plays like a mashup of Guitar Hero and Rhythm Heaven and is one of the better rhythm games I've played. Good selection of DLC and music as well. 100
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 15/04/2026Viewfinder This was a puzzle game that gave you the ability to turn pictures into a part of the level, and overall I think it was implemented pretty well. I really liked how much the later levels played with it even if most of the levels were pretty easy. Game was fairly short though 100
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 12/04/2026Pikmin 4: Fierce Mode Replay So I’m mostly keeping my list to new entries but I had a lot to say about this one. Overall 4 is still 3rd in my Pikmin rankings, but the new update did a lot of good for it. Fierce brought a lot more challenge than I thought in some ways but didn’t need the limit again 110
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 04/04/2026Lost in Play This was a simple point and click game featuring two kids using their imagination to go to different places in a day. had some cool puzzles and minigames as well 100
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 02/04/2026DQ 3 HD-2D Remake This is a remake I’ve been eying for a bit and was actually the only one of the initial trilogy I never finished due to difficulty issues with the prior switch version. This version though is far better than that as it feels like a more balanced time (at least until endgame) 110
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 17/03/2026Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep I actually kinda like the command deck, fusing, and the abilities. My only gripe with them is that I’d have to take a couple hours to grind them out and then continue the story. Additionally three story paths is nice even if that causes the story’s length to take a hit 111
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 05/03/2026Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX First off I just can’t get over how good this game looks. The watercolor look fits so well with Pokémon and was easily my favorite part of this. That being said this game fell into a similar issue as the last one where I kept dropping it for some reason 110
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 01/03/2026Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix Combat is majorly improved over the first at the cost of exploration, while that does take away a bit of the experience the advanced combat more than makes up for it. I did check out CoM before but it wasn't my cup of tea so I just saw a plot summary and moved on to this 200
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 01/03/2026Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix Combat starts way too slow but the game really opens up after a while and its cool to explore the Disney worlds featured in this game 100
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 01/03/2026Wario’s World The game feels like a mix of a beat-‘em-up and a 3D platformer with your ability to do finishers on enemies but some levels and bosses really dragged this down for me 100
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 01/03/2026Legends ZA Mega Dimensions DLC New megas are always cool and I like that some recent pokemon got the spotlight, the general loop of the DLC is kind of boring though with it just needing more points in order to progress the story. Additionally I just really got burned out with the game at the end 100
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 01/03/2026I'll start with the first game I cleared this year being Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time A long awaited sequel to a childhood favorite game with more stuff and other modes and maps to cover with a DLC that also seems good so far, eager to play more since I am not done yet 100
Aaron @a-robotwizard.bsky.social · 06/02/2026I’ll give you the choice of my discord pfp or my pfp for other socials if you have a preference (I tried to give a bit more info via alt text if that helps) 020
