starting the process of moving my archive of videos from vimeo into the native video hosting we have on @venuecms.com. Learning in the process that vimeo doesn't let you download the original file whilst at the same time using its size against your storage allocation. cheeky.

You'll very soon be able to connect @bsky.app to your @venuecms.com account and instantly publish your events to the decentralised web. This @smokesignal.events screenshot shows events I simply updated at @edition-festival.com after hooking it up. Super excited for what this makes possible !

We just added ~1900 content embed types automatically such as Bandcamp, Vimeo, YouTube, Apple Music, Tidal, etc. after this weekend's upgrade. We are self-hosting and the full-list is here: iframely.com/domains More importantly, we worked it out so it's free for users. #artsinfra

We just rebuilt our search from the ground up to be much more tuned for performing arts. Results are looking good! We were using an external platform for search prior and realized it wasn't tuned enough for the type of arts data on Venue. #venuecms #performingarts

Also.. this is one of 5 or so features we are going to take out of beta very soon. Video storage, live streaming direct from sites, custom fields, tags on everything, and many general quality improvements to the backend (& a few other things as well in the pipeline nearing completion).

Things I love about building a communal arts platform is that every time I add something new, I know it's for all my friends community members. Anyway, all sites on @venuecms.bsky.social now have proper search available on their templates for profiles, pages, products, etc. More soon! #venuecms
