The Murder Bot Diaries by Martha Wells is very good. There are 8 books, novel and novella length. Heather Fawcett has a series that I really liked. I haven't read the last book it in yet. There are 3. The first book is Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries.

We're hiring! We're looking for a Writer and Narrative Designer to join the Fallen London team at a senior or mid level. This position is permanent, remote, and full time, which for us means 35 hours a week. #GamesJobs

Night. The House of Chimes - a tower which you might immediately think of as Big Ben - is adrift in the River Thames. It still seems to be keeping time. In the background, a large, alien building looms over the city of London.

We are okay. The fire was contained to the one building but the person in the house was not okay. I had helped the guy find his dog a couple of weeks ago. It's very sad. Responders were out until like 4 am ish. The Fire Marshal has been out today and the press has been around too.

Then add in anything you want to buy or collect anymore is a line or a race too. It's just tiring. I just want my little nerd stuff and to go to my nerd conventions and have a good time. Apparently too much to ask.

MagFest sold out in 12 hours. Cons are really becoming a race. I remember doing the DragonCon hotel thing forever ago, where you had to call a hotel to get a room. This feels worse trying to go to anything.

010

TrinCroft @trincroft.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

I didn't have the energy with all the other things last night so I completely missed badges. It is kind of insane to sell out in 12 hours. That feels like most cons anymore. I'm tired of the race to get badges, get hotels, and then to get there and be a sardine.
