Do we hope for 3 tribes of 5 with 2 shipped off to exile until next episode? Is that the fair scenario if it has to be 3 tribes now?

When I get asked what’s different about this day for my husband and I compared to the typical one father households, I say “pretty much just where the apostrophe goes” Happy Fathers’ Day

$2 million and a car? Congrats to the winner of #Survivor50 but why does the winner get a car no one knew about until it was “won” for the sake of breaking a curse when the show hasn’t had a car sponsorship to give away a car for quite some time.

If you thought survivor producers taking votes away from contestants was bad, yesterday’s episode said “Hold my beer. We’re not just going to take your vote away for failing a journey, we’re going to make you use your vote to write your own name down and force you to tell everyone you’re doing it” 😡

TonyJV -Halifax’s Harbinger of Hot Takes @tonyjv.bsky.social · 26/02/2026

You dont think they can fit an immunity challenge and tribal in the next 10 minutes? Only other possibility is leaving the episode on a cliffhanger. Survivor’s trying new things for 50, maybe their going to start adopting that from certain other reality shows

The only real change with the election yesterday was the decimation of NDP and the downfall of its leader. That party still holds the balance of power to keep the liberal minority going.

010

TonyJV -Halifax’s Harbinger of Hot Takes @tonyjv.bsky.social · 29/04/2025

Was not expecting to wake up to the NDP actually still having the ability to prop the government up with only 7 seats. I was fully expecting that power to sit with the Bloq

TonyJV -Halifax’s Harbinger of Hot Takes @tonyjv.bsky.social · 29/04/2025

Yeah. I’m kind of expecting him to force a rookie MP from a safe riding to resign so he can win a seat back

030

TonyJV -Halifax’s Harbinger of Hot Takes @tonyjv.bsky.social · 29/04/2025

Fully expecting Poilievre to force a new rookie MP who won with a large margin to resign to a rejection can be triggered so he can win a safe race.

We have enough misinformation and outright lies to sift through everyday. April Fools feels so outdated now since we have to be so vigilant of BS on a daily basis now. I don’t need a specific day to give permission to even more people and organizations to do it as a joke

010

TonyJV -Halifax’s Harbinger of Hot Takes @tonyjv.bsky.social · 01/04/2025

There’s so much bullshit and misinformation on the internet and social media on a normal day, having the go to “April Fools Day” thing to do for every person and organization be more fake information but from a legit source is very eye roll to me.

Yeah. Eastern Passage is no longer a part of that riding. Glad the majority of our representation is no longer a 30 minute drive to the other side of the municipality. Us being with Dartmouth/Cole Harbour is how is always should have been.

000

TonyJV -Halifax’s Harbinger of Hot Takes @tonyjv.bsky.social · 23/03/2025

Yeah. Our representation federally will no longer be a 30 minute drive to the other side of the municipality where you have to drive through 2 or 3 other ridings to get to.

With the call of this election, I now live in a new riding. @darrenfisherns.bsky.social will be an easy vote and means I can ignore any and all efforts to sway my vote elsewhere for the next month. If you know who you are voting for locally, you can forgo the national spectacle about to kick off.

Two days in and we are discovering the tolls weren’t the problem with traffic for the MacDonald bridge. As long as both ends of the bridge have lights directing traffic there is going to be backups. Accidents will only continue to occur.

This will create another scenario that will need clarification from Jeff. Can the block a vote be used on someone who doesn’t have a vote to block? If it is used on someone with no vote is it considered used and voided or can someone even use this advantage on a vote that doesn’t exist.

Going though parenthood as a two dad family in this city sometimes feels very alienating. It feels like we have zero wider community of two dad households to interact with. Even within LGBTQ parental groups I always find ourselves as the lone two dad family involved.
