When I get asked what’s different about this day for my husband and I compared to the typical one father households, I say “pretty much just where the apostrophe goes” Happy Fathers’ Day

$2 million and a car? Congrats to the winner of #Survivor50 but why does the winner get a car no one knew about until it was “won” for the sake of breaking a curse when the show hasn’t had a car sponsorship to give away a car for quite some time.

If you thought survivor producers taking votes away from contestants was bad, yesterday’s episode said “Hold my beer. We’re not just going to take your vote away for failing a journey, we’re going to make you use your vote to write your own name down and force you to tell everyone you’re doing it” 😡

The only real change with the election yesterday was the decimation of NDP and the downfall of its leader. That party still holds the balance of power to keep the liberal minority going.

Was not expecting to wake up to the NDP actually still having the ability to prop the government up with only 7 seats. I was fully expecting that power to sit with the Bloq

There’s so much bullshit and misinformation on the internet and social media on a normal day, having the go to “April Fools Day” thing to do for every person and organization be more fake information but from a legit source is very eye roll to me.

With the call of this election, I now live in a new riding. @darrenfisherns.bsky.social will be an easy vote and means I can ignore any and all efforts to sway my vote elsewhere for the next month. If you know who you are voting for locally, you can forgo the national spectacle about to kick off.

Two days in and we are discovering the tolls weren’t the problem with traffic for the MacDonald bridge. As long as both ends of the bridge have lights directing traffic there is going to be backups. Accidents will only continue to occur.

Going though parenthood as a two dad family in this city sometimes feels very alienating. It feels like we have zero wider community of two dad households to interact with. Even within LGBTQ parental groups I always find ourselves as the lone two dad family involved.

Would be nice if in the HFXGo transit app I could just type in a route number into it and it would just tell you when the next bus/ferry is scheduled to leave from the closest stop. Instead you have to go to the external webpage of a hundred schedules and find the one you want and look it up.
