Shared libraries & larger fan communities. Reverse engineering takes a village at times, and while some small collections of games may share formats, Nintendo always does. Models are a very complex asset to extract, and we are a community driven site, so it's based on what users contribute.

Making progress on an overhaul to Spriters Toolkit. Next version includes a mobile layout & extensive improvements to all tools, along with a design unification now the toolkit's scope has been realised. Did you know it all started with just a sprite sheet splitter? My, how it grew and grew!

Asking for credit is an old hat move - we tell people it's an illogical demand. It's also pretty plain to recognise the original artists are the actual artists, as they come from the game they worked on.

Preview models are made individually and set up for viewing - when we introduced it several months ago, we had to create a preview for all the existing assets on the site. Dazz did this on his own, so not everything could be done by the time of launch but 80% was covered.

The site's animation feature now supports APNG, providing more precise frame rates & alpha transparency! We also overhauled the underlying code that gives playback control. Excited to see more animations be uploaded! We also now have a permanent link to The Spriters Toolkit in the sidebar!

The Spriters Toolkit, previously Dazz's tSR Tools, offers a quick way of splitting sprite sheets into individual frames - which can also then be put into the built-in GIF creator to render animations, that can then subsequently be added to that asset page on the main site!
