We have plans to improve the animation aspect of Spriters Resource. We currently accept GIFs, but there are many limitations to the format that make it less useful for modern titles. We're making good progress in our efforts! It should improve performance of animation playback quite dramatically.

Apologies for mitigations we have to make to account for increased bot traffic. We've had a huge influx of traffic consistent with AI bots. This is on top of regular user traffic having doubled over the past 6 months. We don't have a large budget, as you can imagine, but we're doing our best!

While working more on our verification tools for 3D models, I attempted to add animation playback to ensure, if a model includes animations, it plays correctly. I get the feeling this is not correct. I am also not sure if I have ever felt such a threatening presence from an enemy in a game before.
