I recommend walking on main Street north of Vegas blvd kinda in the shadow of the stratosphere that street is lousy with the kind of vibes and services people are looking for in a decent city

I grew up in North town by Las Vegas blvd and Cheyenne but now I live in one of the nice parts of East Vegas and I love how the urban core is a checkerboard of urban blight, track housing wasteland, and actual cool places to live

Like everything else about summerlin that is simultaneously a very "ohhh wow.." and "man what the fuck" thing

Also embarrassment of riches in terms of immediately accessible outdoor wonders We have a ski lodge within a half hour drive of the strip that snows every winter on a mountain with a coniferous pine forest and a rocky range with some of the best rock climbing on earth within a 20 minute drive

That and Like In the simplest terms You have an extraordinary amount of shit to do From the strip bullshit to the arts district to the exurbs It is an easy place to have an idea and try and make it happen because there's a constant population of people here wanting to try stuff

Like we are treat city you can get a good version of fucking anything here and a lot of stuff you can't get anywhere else

Street life is harsh and nasty but people are actually pretty cool and unique It's a place that soaks up whoever is too weird for other places It feels like a latin city in a lot of ways but It also has in my opinion one of the best food cultures in the country
