This was one of my favorite phones, I had the O2 XDA Exec back in the day. It needs a new battery but gosh heck did I love this thing! It look so nice in black with the blue LED backlit keyboard.

It's crazy, even nasty ass dictatorships treat their employees better than the US does. Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...

Ah yes, 'too many days off' The US is 193 out of 193 on the Total Paid Leave table by country on Wikipedia. With a grand ZERO paid days off guaranteed by federal legislation.

Props go to this random furry making an innuendo for the Google listing for the office block for UK members of Parliament. A good space to meet your member indeed |3

Conditional Access Modules! If you had a third party satellite receiver and wanted to use your provider’s viewing card, you’d need one of these! Some only support one encryption standard, like the Irdeto and Aston (SECA MediaGuard) others were more advanced, supporting key storage and multicrypt.

Four conditional access modules, from left to right: an Aston CAM, Irdeto CAM, and two Diablo CAMs. They are PCMCIA cards with smartcard slots.

Looks like my PowerPC based Linux satellite receiver has succumbed to the cap plague. Mostly a bit of a curiosity these days, but back in the day it was the swiss army knife for pirated European satellite TV >.>

Crap photo as this is a still from my previous clip, but this is what it was like previously. I’ll take the win! Two faults fixed, at least three remain!

Further progress with the PowerBook 100, fixed a fault were half the screen was borked. Now to fix the graphics corruption, then the endless resets and the whatever is causing the sad Mac.

PowerBook 100 screen, with a corrupted Sad Mac icon, it is not possible to read the error code

Kinda wondering if running a Customs Brokerage for Vintage Tech and Games into the US would be of interest to folks to avoid this nightmare? I can receive stuff into Canada and take stuff through the border physically ensuring proper customs handling. kotaku.com/trumps-new-e...

Fans are concerned that customs agents aren’t exactly going to be exercising a lot of discipline when confiscating bins of old cables and floppy discs. The order should only apply to goods exiting the country, but it adds to an already anxious trend. Just last March one of the rarest video games on the planet, Tsukhime Trial Edition, was shredded by American customs en route to its buyer.
