One of the games that I love a lot that I don't mention much is Risk of Rain 2 and it's great they keep putting out new DLC. I'm gonna boot up the stream again to play it tonight!

I've missed ending a night on a win but Deadlock has me deadlocked in to do just that.

Celebrated dad today by eating one of his favorite dinners, got a cake, sang happy birthday and then wrote some messages on some balloons for him. It was a hard day but we made it through and honored him as best we could.

CotM's double zombie dragon fight might be my most hated bosses in any Castlevania. It's a slog that not fun and hard to see, bleh.

I find the giant flan button revolutionary and now require every arcade cabinet to come with flan.

That's a shame cause they addressed comms well this year, majority English speaking are EU save for three and there's a full French broadcast team the same size as the EN one. Bleh

Happy Birthday, dad. He would have been 69 years old today and it hurts that we will be celebrating without him for the first time this year. Love you and miss you.💙

Angry Scott Summers, you should have been in a fighting game a long time ago. He schmooves, he has a Dark Phoenix install (temporary), and optic blast has never looked better. All those years of making beams for DBFZ really paid off.

Please hug someone you love today or let them know how much they mean to you. I have regrets but telling my dad I love him and doing what I could to comfort him will never be one.

Supper Mario Broth @mariobrothblog.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

In the Mario Teaches Typing games, Mario never criticizes the player for underperforming and tries to be understanding and supportive. According to Charles Martinet, that was his initiative, as he felt being negative would go against the core principles of Mario's character.

In the Mario Teaches Typing games, even if the player does badly or underperforms compared to previous attempts, Mario will try to be understanding instead of critical:
Uh-oh, that wasn't quite as fast as the last time.
Hmm, are your fingers getting tired? Mine would be by now... if I had any. (laughs)
Charles Martinet, speaking at TooManyGames Convention 2021:
I got this marvelous opportunity to do Mario Teaches Typing. And when I got the script and I'm in the studio - I'm reading the script for the first time, there were things like "You failed!"
"That wasn't very good." "That was much worse... that was bad."
And I was reading that and I said, "Do you mind if I just, like, play with these words a little bit and just change them around?" because, you know, I never say "no" and I never say anything negative as Mario... and the producer graciously said "Sure, go for it!"
And so it became "Oh, that was good, but I know you can do even better!" "Oh, nice one but let's try again!" so it was always uplifting and always trying to be positive. And I think that that is the essence of the character to me - it's that love and that joy.

Not many people remember Slash since it was short lived but the balance being Ky as one of the greatest versions of a fighting game character ever and its all because he had a plus on block 10frame fireball and was a jack of all trades, master of everything.

Slash to Accent Core was a huge jump with a slew of new mechanics, art, voices and the match speed was also sped up. It's why it lasted as the final version of XX until +R many years later. People in the fgc post SFIV could never understand how big gear was back then before Strive exploded.

Tonight, myself and friends took it to the god of Twilight and have finally saved Vanadiel from the Chains of Promathia. It may have taken me well over 20 years to get to this point and I'm glad I was able to with two friends who I played this game with long ago. Chains of Promathia - Complete
