It’s set to be a gorgeous evening to spend in nature. But with recent wildfires affecting parts of the UK, please leave the BBQs at home and help keep wildlife and wild places safe while enjoying the spectacle.
Graphic titled “Help prevent wildfires” over a photograph of a partial solar eclipse. Advice reads: No campfires or disposable barbecues in the countryside or on RSPB reserves. Pack a picnic or use reserve cafés instead of cooking outdoors. If cooking is permitted, use a stove rather than an open fire. Take all litter and food waste home with you. Fully extinguish cigarettes and dispose of them safely. Keep glass bottles and other reflective objects out of direct sunlight and take them home with you. If you spot a fire, call 999 immediately and share your location, for example using What3Words.
