If Simon hadn’t been so desperate already, Hector really would bite him open, drink him half-dry and make him woozy and pliant. But Simon’s saucer-wide pupils and laser focus on the red pooling on Hector’s chin and seeping into his beard belie his composure. It’s not like Hector’s ever been turned—no doubt something out there could mold a vampire into something else, though he’d rather not dwell on the possibility—but he’s got the gist over the years, how it eats and eats and eats at someone if they don’t get what they need. Born vampires have it bad enough already; what exquisite agony something even worse must be, the basest parts of oneself parched and undeniable.

psych meds will not take away your creativity. from personal experience ive found theres a natural period of adjustment, but yea, you don't /need/ to feel miserable to create cool shit. if youve been avoiding meds cuz youre scared itll make you less of an artist, dont let that be the deciding factor

Got a new zine coming out soon! Looking back at experiences in my life and reflecting on how being queer has informed many of them and how i have relationships, fuck and have fun now.

At school we must walk down the road to another building for PE. "Make a crocodile." the teacher tells us. I make sure I'm standing a reasonable distance from her so it doesn't look so obvious when i shuffle over to her when it's time to make a line.

No one likes this girl. She's pretty and speaks with a bouncing accent that makes her words loud and enthusiastic that's too much at times. Her hands are small and slender and delicate and I'm quietly thrilled to feel her hand in mine as we walk down the pavement.

I feel large and strong holding her small hand, I make sure I'm on the side that's closer to the cars in case I need to something dramatic and brave that she'll witness. I think perhaps she'll find that impressive and will want to always hold my hand because of that.

Later, when I invite her to play at my house we cross the road at green man and a large truck knocks me down. In the ambulance while I'm being brought inside on a stretcher she huffs that her mother will probably never let her come to play at my house again.

I find myself indifferent to her beautiful hands after that."
