My name may not be Elim Garak, but for the town of Twillford, I am but a simple modiste. As I once said in an article stating I am more interested in Free Lives and Cozy Lives’ Dressmaker than GTA VI, I can say wholeheartedly that is still true to this moment. Originally made by Terra Nil and…

I have loved the Fire Emblem franchise since I played one of the first games released on the Game Boy Advance. Activision Successfully Reboots Halo If They Do These 3 Things
If Activision is going to handle the Halo handoff successfully, it will likely require a major shift. 343 Studios, most recently known as Halo Studios, controlled the franchise for over a decade. During that time, they released titles that failed to capture the magic and fan response of Bungie's first three games. Here's the thing: I don't think Bungie had a special recipe or secret to their games.

Monolith Soft Should Revive Xenogears
Many people now know Monolith Soft for the Xenoblade Chronicles franchise. However, as someone who adores the various franchises that they have worked with over the years, I hold a different Xeno series dear. While it is suspected that a lot of the source material for the Xenosaga series is considered Lost Media now, I think Monolith Soft should be allowed to dive even further back into its history.

When Dragon Quest XI was released in 2017, it was my first foray into the historic Japanese RPG franchise. It feels like forever ago, especially since the game was released on the 3DS rather than a home console. Now, the home-and-handheld console split is one, thanks to the Switch 2's hybrid nature. That still gives fans handheld portability while packing modern console power.

Who you gonna call?… The negatively charged ion-busters! Directed by Axelle Carolyn, she’s probably the best director for this type of episode, with a history of low-stakes horror TV and shorts, most notably doing “Blood Buffet” with Macaulay Culkin and “The Future Perfect,” i.e the Nixon episode, both from American Horror Story. One of those is highly rated. Meanwhile, our writer this week probably wishes he had Kripke’s power to get the world’s most boring double act together.

Magical Blush (PC) Review
Editor's Note: The following review is unscored due to a myriad of technical issues encountered during review. Treat this as a first impression for the time being; we intend to return to Magical Blush at a later date. I never like to write a negative review. Developers put a lot of hard work into the games they release, especially when it comes to Indie games.

David’s Retro Rewind | GTA: Vice City
Ah, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The last mainline GTA title that had to work ever so slightly harder to cause moral panics the old-fashioned way, before the absolute nothing-burger that was "Hot Coffee" in San Andreas. Set in the year 1986 in the titular Vice City (a parody of basically the entire state of Florida), Grand Theft Auto: Vice City…

Company of Heroes – Definitive Edition gets release window
If you may forgive me for a moment, this time last week I got all of three press releases. Yet on Thursday, "Nah, here are twenty-seven of the things for every game ever announced." Indeed, men used to go to war (the topic for the day), but it is slightly difficult to get news this early in the week when all the press releases are shuffled to Thursday, when I am busy and can't talk about…

Amazon Luna Games with Prime – September 2026
An interesting turn of events, indeed. After the last couple of outings with Amazon Luna/Prime Gaming, I've been losing hope, and I believe next month we'll get another gut punch of terrible, horrible, no good, very boring games, but for now we got a decent month. For those who care about the Cloud Gaming aspect, you get to play Star Wars Outlaws…

Rebel Wolves, a new studio formed by former CD Projekt Red developers, set out to do what many new teams can't. They set out to build a new franchise and, in their planning, spawn a new series of games for years to come before knowing what the audience would think. Last year at The Game Awards, we learned they plan to take their…

Monday, a Switch release for Malapata Studio's Book Nook has been announced, and as I keep getting emailed "The Last of Us meets Stardew Valley" Ashfield Hollow has a new demo. Tuesday, everyone spent themselves during Gamescom, meaning news is drier than a nun after Easter. Wednesday, Zelda fans weren't dry, as Nintendo spaffed its load in…

American ideals in an English RP accent from the mouth of an alien from Mars. It is like trying to talk to a Reform voter about actual policy. Or, I guess in this case, it is like trying to tell Henry Alonso Myers that you can write TV without making a horrible, pointless relationship the focus of it with a hard-on for Vulcans and sidelining the beautiful Rebecca Romijn.

Lou’s Lagoon (PS5) Review
The cozy game movement continues on, as games we've seen previewed even years ago in Wholesome Directs are coming into fruition in 2026, and several others being years out. One that I had my eye on after a successful 10k pound Kickstarter reached almost thrice that was Lou's Lagoon from German developer Tiny Roar. Past its immediate charm, I was compelled to see how the sailing and flying mechanics would pan out in an open world environment.

Montabi (Switch 2) Review
With Pokémon in limbo due to a string of releases that have not gone as well as expected and the competition that popped up via Palworld, the crown for monster-fighting games is seemingly up for grabs. This rare opening has given a new type of game entering the genre a chance to make its mark with a unique spin on gameplay.
